Hi there,
I am in Canada too. I searched high and low for an LLMD in Canada. I didn't even care it if was in my province or not. I did come across one in Nova Scotia and the reports I saw said that the N.S. doctor was highly recommended. As one of the few LLMDs in Canada, he had patients from within and without of province. Unfortunately, I also came across information that he was no longer accepting new patients, and then later information that he was likely going to stop treating the patients that he already had... due to threats from the College of Surgeons and Physicians.
After this, I heard a radio interview with the Can Lyme president this past summer. Unfortunately, he reported that all MDs treating lyme disease in Canada were now officially shut down by the College of Physician and Surgeons. So, I suspect that the information I read was accurate.
I don't remember the N.S. doctor's name. But, I don't suspect that his name would be overly helpful anymore. To help locate a doctor, you can contact Can Lyme (canlyme.com) and they can help you locate an LLMD or LLND. When I contacted them, they gave me the names of a few LLMDs in the U.S. (I am on Ontario). They said that they were not aware of anyone treating in Ontario or a nearby Canadian province. After this, I discovered that there is an LLND in Ottawa and also in Montreal. I am being treated by the LLND in Ottawa and I am making improvements. (I also made sure that my LLND contacted CANLYME to make sure that they were aware of her existence.)
I am sorry that you have been sick for so long. I hope you are able to find treatment soon. Good luck in your search.
