Hello,
All my symptoms started around June(fatigue, body aches, especially prominent areas neck: Neck(a ct scan showed straightening and mri showed degenerative disc disease, arm...chest pains, headaches dizzinessand just not feeling well in general. After testing by my regular doc I tested positive for Reumatoid factor 4 different times, I was sent to a rheumatologist. After looking at everything she diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia and was put on cymbalta. Came off cymbalta the end of December because i started breaking out in hives a month after taking them. Waited 2 weeks to see if they cleared, Nope they didn't. Off i went to an allergist/immunologist she sent me for further testing. Turns out no allergy but I tested positive for ANA, CRP, one of the lyme WB IgG band 41, high thyroxine, and a High ANA titer and pattern homogenous and speckled. So she is sending me to a new Rheumy.

Any suggestions?

Your symptoms definitely sound like they can be from Lyme. I too have the headaches, fatigue and sick feeling. You only getting one band + on a Western Blot doesn't rule out Lyme. I had the same band as you come up positive with nothing else but was then tested through IGeneX and came up positive with multiple bands.

Your next step should be to see a Lyme-literate doc or LLMD to get proper testing and treatment. Where are you located? I might be able to direct you to one if you live in the northeast or you can post on here asking if anybody knows of one in your area.

I live in Wayne NJ. The allergist/immunologist that tested me said she thinks it's an auto immune disease (leaving towards lupus) and that it may be a false positive. I don't get why that would be positive?

Yeah that's weird. That's certainly not positive. You really need better testing. I have a few names in CT. I can't post them on here but you can email me if interested.

Hi Jai, Sounds like you might have Lupus with a positive test result for ANA, CRP and others. Glad that you are going to see another Rheumatologist. I don't know about your results for Lyme D. but it's good you are getting checked out for Lupus. I had that for a very long time.
