Europe is of no use... American LLMD (good doctors NY/Boston and price)?

Dear all,

I seem to be getting no where with my doctor, and meanwhile there is party in my body of weird symptoms... And getting diagnised/treatment in Germany seems to be so sought after that I could be looking at months before I even can get an appointment.

So I'm seriously thinking of alternatives, such as flying to the US to meet with a LLMD to get things moving... Can anyone recommend a doctor in New York area or Boston? I def. prefer doctors who focus on medical treatment, and who are not to alternative...

As I'm not living in the US I am obviously not covered by any health care insurance: To get an assesment by a LLMD and start up a process of treatment, how much money could I be looking at paying?

Any feedback appreciated...

I paid $380 for an initial appointment with my LLMD who is about an hour ride west of Boston. He charges $220 for follow up appointment. I hear there are two other LLMDs in Boston area whom I have not been to but are supposedly good. I was put on a long term antibiotic which has terribly failed me so now I am looking at other options. I know an LLMD in Prague Czech Republic if you want that information. He will also put you on long term antibiotics. I don't know how much he charges but probably much less than the LLMD in Boston and is more familiar with the antibiotics available to you.

I've heard that there is one in Switzerland, a woman, and that there is at least one in the U.K. You should go to the ILADs website to see if you can find more info.

If you need more info. about the US, my LLMD is about an hour to an hour and a half outside NY city. He is well known. You need to email me to get the information.

PS, unless you go to an herbalist, prices are HIGH. Mine charges $600, which doesn't include testing, etc. Margaret

My husband is stationed here in Italy :) It's nice and all but hard to fight this battle alone without extended family and him always working strange hours!

I would really like to know if you found someone, as I am half Swiss (living in the US, but sometimes considering moving abroad).
