How do you guys keep going? I don't even know if I have Lyme.. I just know I am miserable every day of my life... Maybe it is Fibromyalgia and I just have some other symptoms that are unrelated.. Does it even matter? I'm spent. I'm tired of doctors who can't tell me what's wrong with me. I just drag myself through every day.. I don't look forward to anything any more.. The supposed LLMD I saw seemed like a joke. Should I try to find another one? It was almost impossible to even find him..

Hi Akkami. So sorry you are having a rough time. (Okay, I typed that sentence three times before I got it right - I seem to be Dyslexic today!) Depression goes along with not having a diagnosis and with having a diagnosis. I vote that you seek out a different LLMD - sometimes we have to just keep on trying til we get it right! Even though trying is so hard to do. I am having a problem with no motivation - zilch. My LLMD won't put me on antibiotics til I strengthen my immune system, stay on probiotics for a while, and stay gluten-free for a while. So, I wait and wish life were different, all the while knowing I am doing the best I can for today. One day at a time and make the most of each day!

Akkami...I agree with southernchick...try to find another LLMD ASAP, they are your best hope for a proper diagnosis and treatment. This whole process is frustrating, exhausting and down right depressing at times! But you are worth it! So hang in there and visit this forum often...there are so many knowledgeable and caring people here that are either in the same boat as you or those that have had successful treatment.

I know how you feel. I was like that when I was so ill in my 20s, when Lyme wasn't known in this area at all. I had never heard of it and didn't have the internet to give me some clues. I never did get tested for it, but I got well from classical homeopathy. He didn't need a diagnoses to start treating my since it's based on your totality of symptoms.

You're lucky to have the internet and be a part of this forum where you can get emotional support from the many understanding members here and also get advice along the way. You can get past this.

I agree with the others about finding a different doctor if the one you went to isn't willing to help you. A good one will test you right away and some will start treatments when you have many of the symptoms associated with it.

Keep coming here for support and don't give up.

Never forget that LLMD's are just people. We don't always get along well with the first one we get matched up with, so we must move on! And to be honest, there seems to be more and more LLMD's that just aren't worth their salt! So let us help you find a new one, Akkami!

Or you could turn to a Holistic doctor where you don't need a diagnosis. A good one will treat the body, and the infections so that you can get back to your life. Many here are treating naturally and finding their healing - it doesn't matter which path you choose though, we're here for you!

Getting treatment is always worth it, if for no other reason than to just feel better!!

Hang in there, there is healing for you. You could start detoxing now to get a head start and quite possibly help you feel a bit better now!

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it. I had typed a longer reply but it didn't post. I am now looking at the natural approach. I did read up on the synergy protocol and plan to start the detox shakes while I wait for my IgenX results. I guess I'll decide what to do from there...

WWJD20 - same here! Those exact same words. It was probably the worst part of this journey so far... not "knowing" what was wrong, but feeling like life was just a fog, something to get through each day, like a robot. I didn't even realize it was happening until I was so many months in...

It's amazing how many of us have the same feelings.
