I've only seen Dr. P once, but I felt a decent connection in our communicating, better with him than with C., his PA. But since I've started there, I think I'll press through until I get my labs back and see what direction he suggests we go.
I used to see Dr. F. years ago before she had Lyme, and I really liked her a lot. I felt sorry for her when I talked with her last month; her receptionist had been scrambling up her job and Dr. F. was just finding out and replacing her. She is a good bit cheaper than Dr. P.

Since I'm from NC, I'd love to hear any or all of the above reviewed, bc I go all the way to NY state to see Dr. L.
I've heard mixed things about Dr. P. What do others of you NCites think?
Dr. F. is herself a survivor of Lyme, and that might account for the disorganization.
There is also a LL psychiatrist in Pittsboro/Chapel Hill area. I do know her name, if anyone wants to email me. She's also a "survivor."
Whatever you do, don't see the Asheville LLMD. The LLPA should be fine, though I haven't met her. Dr. F. is her prescribing physician.
DC is only an hour from Charlotte by plane, which might be better than driving, depending on where you live! I imagine it is about the same distance from RDU. I've been considering him, and I would go, if it weren't for the fact that (I think) you have to see an NP or PA, before you can see him. That might not be true if you're on Medicare.
I've heard bad things about Dr. J's staff, but sometimes you just have to ignore staff members.
