Chest area pains

I was diagnosed with lyme in early Jan '14. Since then I have been on doxy 200mg a day. Lately I have been getting pains in my left chest area (almost underarm area) that are just like achy pulled muscles. Is this normal?

I have been beating myself up all day about going to the dr this afternoon or not. My pcp has done all heart workup except for a stress test ( which they are doing next week). I am starting to feel like I'm crazy again, since I know if I go to the dr today, they will tell me it's not a heart attack and I will be just fine.

Well my dr seems fairly confident (since I'm only 28 years old with no family history of heart problems) that it is not my heart. They have me scheduled for a stress test next week just to make sure.

I just get scared when I get pains on the left side of my chest because anytime you go to a clinic, they scream heart attack.

I'm sick of feeling awful and never knowing if it is the lyme or something else. I have never had anxiety before and now all of the sudden it is all the time. This disease sucks big time.

I am just going to my regular dr right now. I don't know if there are any LL dr's around here. She is wanting me to go to an ID Dr sometime soon.

I just hope that i get the right treatment and I don't feel this bad forever!

blessed the infectious disease doc is prob going to tell you its not Lyme. The general MD's and ID docs donot believe in chronic Lyme or giving out antibiotics for extended periods of time. Take Traveler's advice and get to a Lyme literate medical doc as soon as possible. I wish you the best. :)

The Infectious disease docs and MD's ignoring this are a bump of wimps. They could not find their way out of a brown bag let alone hold the fate of others lives in their hands. They are ignoring what their patients are telling them and following guidelines that have been proven false. If they have a conscience they need to step forward on behalf of a huge growing number of people who are disabled and suffering.
