Flagyl making me sick anybody else?

Thank God I only take it the last 3 days of my protocol but my mouth taste like I have soap on it the whole 3 days and it starts making me naseous and I'm hungry but food makes me sick to look at and eat. Then I get a headache and my pain went thru the roof this morning. I guess a herx? Also noticed having hot flashes and then chills, maybe it's bringing out a co-infection.

Couldn't take my last dose of Flagyl, omnicef and A-L Complex or I would have thrown up.

I went into menopause at 40, now 53 and maybe it was Lyme that made me go early. And wonder opinion the hot flashes were from the Lyme and then would have burning feet to point I would put ice packs on them. But once I got on bio-identical hormones my feet quit burning.

I guess time will tell.

Go back to doc on Monday, I seriously can't stand that Flagyl anymore and what else can I take in its place? Also taking omnicef and Zithromax. Seems like I am feeling somewhat better since treatment started 3 months ago.

But I am not getting drench with sweat just hot flash. I am not being treated yet, do you know which antibiotic targets it?

It's the weird taste that is constant that is bothering me, if it was just when I take it but it's not.

I wasn't tested for co-infections and I am not CDC positive but have been sick for 15 yrs, just got diagnosed in November.

Doc said during treatment the co infections would eventually rear there ugly head.

I heard that Mepron was really expensive and it's liquid. I am just so over taking all these antibiotics and would rather do herbs.

I am hungry but the thought of foods that I'm aloud makes me sick. Now a pizza sounds good or like jello but not suppose to eat it.

I guess by tomorrow the effects of Flagyl will be gone, this happened the last time.

Csmm what labs did your doctor run? I just changed insurance so maybe mine needs to do more testing.

I started on 1500mg / day of Flagyl 3 days ago. Today I started to get a mild herx with flare up of symptoms. Tindamax (tinidazole) is supposed to break up Lyme cysts like Flagyl. I was on it once, but my insurance only covered 10 days of treatment.
