The more I think about it, the more I disagree, although I've heard that Horowitz's book is fabulous, and I can't judge, not having read it.
But Cowden includes herbs like Houttuynia and Elecampane, both of which address coinfections, along with his formulations like Mora, Takuna, and Eluna.
My understanding about Horowitz is that he (in his book) talks about each protocol, and then discusses its drawbacks. I think he still found that Cowden had the most successful protocol of all of them.
In my mind, Cowden's antimicrobial herbs are as strong as prescription abx., essentially bc I got C. Diff. again from Cowden. That's bad for me, but maybe good for other folks, knowing that the antimicrobials work.
And as I said, my sweats and chills went away almost completely when I was on Cowden.
So, let's see how things go with Buhner . . . .
If Buhner doesn't do it, and I'm still alive and somewhat functional, I might go back to a very reduced version of Cowden.
I just wonder: What are we supposed to do? There is no clear "Horowitz protocol" out there. I started reading the book, and tried writing things down, and there was just too much information.
