Hey guys, thanks for responding. Today I developed a rash all over my chest. Bart ? no stripes ? Babs ? herx rash ?
I changed abx this weekend with the intention of pulsing my normal dosage with ammox and doxy on a few off days. Any advice or help is appreciate. thnx

I did read about documented herx reactions with ammox. Im leaning toward thinking it was a die off. Rash was non itchy, covered chest. Also 2 larger blotch areas among the rash.

You gotta be kiddin me! I've had this strange sole pain for at least 2 years now. Tender to put pressure on them...especially right when I get out of bed in the AM...have to limp to the bathroom. Unreal... I think I have every co-infection in the book.

My sister has Bart and has had a rash all over her chest (red and itchy, but not blood red). It just went away. Our dr said it's specific for Bartonella. It was before she started treatment, so I tend to think it was a flare?

Just a thought...

Hi Marie, thanks for the info. It has now continued on chest also apparent in creases near groin area and halfway up arm. It is not itchy at all. Also not bumpy but def redness.

Are you feeling anything else that might count as a flare?

When I'm having a Bart flare, I'm ready to eat someone alive, so to speak. I can become agressive and so irritable that I could attack someone saying something that annoys me. (for the record, I never have attacked someone, physically that is smilewinkgrin ) LOL

My muscles hurt more than ever when having a bart flare, and I'm an emotional wrek.

Before and above all that, are you sure there are no cross reactions possible between the cefdinir, doxy and plaquenil you are taking? Have you contacted your dr about the rash?

Hi Marie, Right now I am taking Cefdinir 600 mg a day.
Last weekend I changed to ammox and doxy to switch it up a bit. (No planquenil at all)
That is when the soles of feet hurt and I also felt bad. Then I broke out with rash on my chest. Today I developed a rash on my arm that look like scratches. It is in the area where you would have blood drawn where the veins are. I am going to try to head over to Dr. on Friday.
