Well, in many of those situations I would allow myself a bite or a sip...then give the rest to my hubby. :) I know some people cannot even do that or it will wreak havoc on their system but for myself, one little bite usually didn't have an effect and even tasting a morsel, that was enough for me not to feel like I was missing anything.
I make smoothies. I'm really looking forward to popsicle treats that I make in the smoothie and then freeze. I'm glad you are able to join in and celebrate happy moments!
When I was in treatment I had absolutely no extra money to celebrate so to speak so I would just make sure to treat myself by relaxing, reading that book that I wanted to, getting a movie from redbox. When I was feeling better, my husband and I would go to free museums and garden nurseries and walk around a lot.
Also, everyone loves coffee. Starbucks is always a treat in my book. If a friend gets a promotion treat them to starbucks. You can get green tea and smell the delectable coffee, catch up with your friend...its cheap and green tea from starbucks is pretty good!
