LLMD in Connecticut?

Why is it so hard to find a LLMD? I've joined the Lyme Disease Association.org for their Doctor Referral Program and it is a joke. Their search program is not responsive and they only give you three doctors name's that are not even Primary Care doctors. I don't want to see a gastroenterologist for Lyme I want to see a Primary Care Physician. Please, does any know if an easier way to search for an LLMD in the Hartford, CT area?

I'm sure others will chime in and be able to help you find a LLMD in the area. I travel 2 hours to mine in NJ, but honestly, right now I'm not sure what to think. I just am not sure. But I hope someone else can find you a LLMD in your area. I'm sure. After all, Connecticut and Lyme, well they just go together don't they? LOL. Are you willing to go to the city because I'm sure there are several in Manhattan.

BTW--you should enable your e-mail option as we can not post Dr's names on here. :)

You might also want to try flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi and post under "Seeking a doctor" ...although if you do get recommendations, you may want to double check that your doctor is a true LLMD - I'm not 100% sure how the site works so I can't be sure of their criteria - good luck finding a doctor!

My son has extreme fatigue ,joint pain ,redness in his eyes since March 5th .He also had a rash that lasted one day. We took him to doctors and they were just saying it is viral ,finally they did blood work . His ELISA was positive and his western Blot came back "Inconclusive" With IGG positive for exposure to lyme in past and IGM not positive. The infectious control doctor says that is not a diagnosis of LYME disease. I am look for any LLMD doctors in the new York year/Conn/Boston/PA
that will treat children aggressively. My son is 13 years old and i feel so frustrated and helpless.
I was told of one doctor in Conn but I can't get an appointment until July.
Any information would be appreciated....

ILADS is helpful, but I have names for you guys for NY and CT that are not on the ILADS list, but are LLMDs

steveinct...I use a llmd in Northampton, Ma. If interested in his name enable your e-mail.
