Well, the time has come to start treatment. I've been on a gluten free diet, found out I had one MTHFR667 gene mutation (have been taking the proper multivitamin that does not contain Folic Acid), have my thyroid at a peaceful level so on Monday I will begin antibiotics.
I will be taking Omnicef, Flagyl, Azithromycin and Minocycline for two weeks then one week off (then I will have an appt at the nine week mark with my DR). My LLMD said to be sure to right down any changes and of course note when a Herx is happening. In addition to the antibiotic of course I will be taking probiotics as well as other supplements suggested by my Dr and detoxing. My first week on I will have safety labs taken to ensure my organs are functioning properly. I get nervous knowing I've been sick for over a year (I should say only noticeably physically-because I don't have a story of remembering or seeing a sick) but then I see stories on here of success who have been sicker longer and gotten better.
Just an edit I thought of: I did take an initial 28 dose of doxy in November 2013
I'll keep you posted on my journey!
