Had a visit with my PC today, he explained that my Lyme test came back positive and my western blot came back 3 out if 10,, should I still look into treatment ? Also had a MRI last week and showed Arthritis in my lower back. Could this be connected to Lyme? Also have systoms of pain throughout my body legs, arms and feet. Numbness in feet and hands.

Do you have the actual numbers for your Western blot you can share with us?

Hello,
I had 1 band positive IGG, band 41 on my Western Blot (not IgeneX) and that was enough for my Lyme doc to start treating me.
My IgeneX western blot came back positive across the board.
So I would say yes! Look into treatment.

Why is Igenex testing so different than other lab test out there?? I know this question may be silly to some! But I'm really new to this.

LLMD are very knowledgeable on The treatment protocol and know a few weeks or a month on ANX won't even touch it and an infectious disease might even laugh at you and tell you your not positive. Stick with. The LLMD, if you are having symptoms and test positive on a few then you have it.
Also LLMD will follow the ILADS protocol, look up ILADS.org and read up on it. My doctor went with a clinical diagnosis and started treatment before my results were back.

Welcome to the forum, ithawinston,
Don't worry about asking questions, we are all still learning about this disease and its treatments!
Do have a look at our "New to Lyme?"thread at the top of the forum. It will help with your questions and lead you to some good resources.

you said you got bitten a few months ago - lyme arthritis to my knowledge does not come on that fast - maybe you have had lyme longer than you think?
