Lyme doctor needed,, Long Island New York,, please help

I really don't know where to start but I know this is a road that most be taken on my road to recovery. It started about two months ago with several symptoms that my doctor could not explain. Later found out Lyme came back positive in my lab results. I've been on dox 100 mg for 2 weeks and I feel worst! Im really nervous and more than anything I need answers!! I've been reading up on this, but it can become overwhelming. If anyone knows of any good llmd doctors please let me know!! Current symptoms,,,pain throughout body,, legs,neck ,numbness in feet , arms, and hands!
I live in Nassau!! But willing to travel,

Hi!

I'm on Long Island too. Suffolk, not Nassau, but if you ever want to chat let me know.

I know of one LLMD in Suffolk but I haven't seen him yet so I really couldn't make a recommendation.

I have bad days and good on Doxy, but the bad suck (today is one of them) especially when I get the GI issues that have recently started occurring.

Good luck with everything. Just know that you will get better!

I live in Nassau too, and have some names. I will email you tonight! do you need a dr who only takes insurance, or are you willing to pay out of pocket? My Dr is in the city, and she is excellent

JackieTheDunn ,,,, I would love to chat , just had another visit today and family doctors doesn't have answers for me other than just wait til I finish the remaining days on dox which is 9 days left! Is it normal to fell I've gotten worst!

oh, and try to relax about the doxy, I know how hard it is. I started on doxy twice a day too and got worse before I got better. hang in there!!

Chapelle--- is 21 days of dox enough? P.s test came back positive for Lyme. But western blot came back 3 out 10. From my understanding there should still be some concern?

NO!!!! definitely not enough - I had the numbness and severe pain too and I am now in my ninth week of treatment. no way is it enough - I will email you tonight and we will chat!!! I am actually meeting up with another LI forum member tonight in person - she is going to see my Dr this week. So glad you found us - we will all get thru this with eachother's help!

I started on February 8th and am still on it.
you may feel so sick bc you may not be detoxing - I didn't know about that either initially.
started at doxy 100mg twice a day then went to three times a day and now I am on doxy 400mg a day
