LLMD in metro-Atlanta?

I am looking for a LLMD in metro Atlanta.

Currently I am seeing the doctor at Holtorf Medical Group in Marietta, GA (had just one appointment so far) and I am not sure if she or the group is really Lyme literate so if anyone could share experiences that would be helpful. I am very new to this. Also, I have an appointment scheduled with Dr. D. O. but also wonder if any one has experience with him?

Hi BabyJlu,

Welcome to our forum! I had to edit your posting. Due to liability issues we try to avoid using drs names. Initials are welcomed though and most lyme drs are well known on this site. Hopefully someone from GA will see your thread!

Checkout our "New to Lyme, Start Here" Thread. There is a lot of information there on detoxing and how to locate an LLMD. We have a lot of great members on this site so feel free to ask questions, or if you need help with a specific symptom ie - you will get lots of information!

Have your current drs run any tests? Did you find a tick or rash? I live in Atlanta area and have been seeing a dr that treats Lyme (but only under certain circumstances). She is not an LLMD though. if you have had Lyme for a long time, like years, you will probably need an LLMD. My email has been activated, so if you click on the open envelope button, I can share with you what I am doing to get by for the meantime. Would also love to compare LlMD notes, since that is my next step, too.

I meant to add that I have a list of LLMDs compiled from various sources when I started searching; I just don't know which one is best.
