Just something interesting I noticed in my four year old son who's getting over lyme.
Back in September was when I noticed emotional things in him; increased irritability, a little anxiety, PANS things turns out. Then in late Oct. the physical symptoms started. ANd somewhere in all of it I noticed that he started saying one thing different. He started saying "she" in place of "her". For example: "That's she's coat." and so on, with every time he'd need to use her.
I didn't think it was connected at first. But it was obvious to me that it suddenly happened, and at the same time as the rest of this stuff. I remember thinking in Nov., "what's with the 'she' all the time." I know he's young, but he had his pronouns correct before.
Then (late fall) I read a blog of a mom about her three or four year old son with lyme, how he started suddenly saying his name (talking 3rd person) instead of the word "me" or "I". Then with lyme treatment he stopped doing that.
Well, low and behold, I just thought about the "she" instead of "her" the other day, and noticed I haven't heard it lately. So, I've been paying close attention today, and I don't think he's saying it like that anymore! After nine weeks of treatment, he's not saying it anymore!
I just thought I'd post this, b/c I find it fascinating; I mean how this infection can affect a person, and how the treatment can heal.
