Hi ,has anyone tried the treatment in the Bali clinic ,the one where they use ozone to clean your blood I think it's about a 8 week course.
Hubby is considering it ,just it's $30,000 ( that's Aussie dollars)
If anyone has any information on this please let me know .
He's been having hydro peroxide infusion weekly at the moment and it seems to work to a degree he has 2-3 good weeks then crashes again and back to being really weak and depressed
He has also tried Vit C infusions that picked him up short term but didn't last
So we are thinking maybe Bali might be worth a try but would be a lot of money to throw away if it's really not worth it

I can't comment on that specific clinic in Bali but I know there's a doc here in NY, Dr. Robbins (not an LLMD), that does ozone and claims it treats Lyme and it wouldn't cost near that so I wouldn't want to pay that price for an unproven treatment. I think if ozone was so effective you would hear much more about on these forums.

Thanks for that info,the treatment also includes other things like injections etc ,but like you said if it was that good more people would do it ,but I guess we can only hope there's something new out there and it's something that could work ,hubby has heard about 1 guy who tried it and it didn't work and someone it did work for .
So if we thought there was a good chance then it could be worth a try .
It's a shame we can get the real success rate figures but the clinic probably wouldn't say or maybe exaggerate them

You could always look into clinics here like Sponaugle or Sierra Integrative. There's a person on this forum at Sponaugle being treated (Lymebabe) so you could always wait and see how she does before making any decisions.

The problem with Lyme is what helps one may not help another, so it's just a chance you take when you decide to try something, especially with alternative treatments (which I prefer to use).

Lymes hates oxygen. A cheaper alternative and maybe one could experiment with before spending the money is...

a hyperbaric chamber
drinking oxygenated water (you can get a home filter)

Both have helped me somewhat - especially the chamber.

We have a ozone machine so he does use that in his water ,we also buy our water due to having fluoride in it
But yes what works for one doesn't work for another I agree

ToddPaul the reason you don't hear about ozone too often is the FDA is dead set against it. I am not sure how legal it is in the US to use ozone. I heard it really works though even though I do not have first hand experience.

Lymebabe- I just wished I knew some people who it has helped. As I mentioned there's a Dr. Howard Robbins very close to me that touts it for Lyme. He was my podiatrist when I was a kid and now all he does is ozone. So you know people who has had success with it?

I have been watching lots of videos on the net about using a ozoniater in water ,but there seems to be lots of different machines ,the one we have is simple ,it a small box ( about 300mmx 60mm) and a tube with a stone type ball on the end .Im hoping this type is ok as this only cost $100 .
The hyperbaric chambers isn't available here in Western Australia ,they won't allow Lyme patience to use it ,( it's only used for divers ) because Lyme doesn't exist :(

Sorry to hear about your story theresal58 , it a very frustrating disease.

I struggle with it ,and it's not me who has it ,it's my husband I don't know how he copes some days I feel so useless and just don't know what to do or say .
