Anyone here on zythromax?

I was on zithro and doxy and was making progress. about 3 weeks into that protocol, I got nauseous (which was an original symptom that went away and came back) and got massive gut upset, same thing as you. So I stopped abx until my next appt which is third.

I'm on my fourth week pulsing on it. Only after my morning dose do I sometimes get watery stool. I only have a green spinach smoothie in the morning so I'm going to try incorporating solid food in the am when I take it. When I take it in the evening with dinner it doesn't bother me at all.

Do you take it with food?

I've been on Zithromax going on my 6th month and have had loose stool most of the time and also had stomach pains with it. Not so bad that I need to run to the bathroom. Finally it is getting back to normal. I always eat before I take any ANX.

Sorry for the late reply been at work. Yes i usually take with food. The package didn't say to not take with magnesium. I guess I know now not to take any antibiotic with magnesium or not within a couple hours before and 4 hours after.
I think the culprit is the monolauren. I can handle the antibiotics...was fine on doxi for 2 months. Was fine on this for 5 days. I may have just gotten a bug...idk It just came on so sudden. I'll keep on top of it and if I keep having any kind of problems I'll take a break.
I do take 2 of the probiotic tabs a day...the re fridge kind and eat 2 yogurts usually. Took the zyth today at around 3 with just water and stomach feels fine. I may need to go a little slower with the monolauren.

hi concepts, I took zithromax for about 8 months. I had two occurrences of nausea and colitis, and I had to stop it. I stopped for about a month let my gut heal then went back on, stopped after second occurrence went back on again after a month. I decided I would go up on my probiotics and see if I could tolerate it. well that did the trick.

I was taking innate flora 20 I went up to innate flora 50 and added sacccromyches boulardii. I did not have any more occurrences or flare ups with my gut after that. I also now take green vibrance which helps me a lot it has probiotics too. when I went to see my holistic md, he said I was loaded with systemic yeast and the iv peroxide I am receiving once a week will kill it. my ears have been itching red, and and scaly one md said I had psoriasis, and one ear md said it was fungal well it was right. but the ear drops did not work. I have to kill it all from the inside out. my ears are better, not itching but ever so often and I have been able to stop my steroid cream I was using on them.

it is imperative to take nystatin, diflucan, probiotics to prevent candida in your gut and body. your gut is a big part of healing. we have to take care of our intestines!!

The absolute best time to take probiotics is at bedtime, and away from everything else, especially the antibiotics.

Wanted to ask you all how important is it to drink water that doesn't have chlorine or a very low amount? I figure the chlorine is maybe killing some of the good bacteria as well...maybe even a lot of it. What kind of water would be the best ...reverse osmosis?

I had heart palps for 6 years...didn't know I was just low on mag. Have hardly had any since I've been on abx and magnesium and lyme diet. Thinking back to how long I've had heart palms I'd about how long I've had lyme....around 6 or 7 years. I went back k on the zithromax...so far so good but stomach still doesn't feel the greatest
