Georgia, meat causes me problems, too. I can get away with more dairy than meat, but it does cause problems, too. And beans are a no no. What do you eat for protein?
I still eat meat, just in small amounts. Depending on our body mass, we only need about
50g a day. That's a far cry the the 1gm/lb of body weight I used to eat when I weight trained. The mountain gorilla eats nothing but plants, I think they get plenty of protein and are strong enough.
You may have a CBS mutation if the beans are causing you problems. Some people can still eat beans if they chew them more. We don't think about
chewing when we eat, but they have to reduce the particle size down small enough so that they can be digested before they ferment.
As for the chest pain, mine was a costochrondrosis and since inflammation is the source, Borrellia could certainly help cause the problem. Mine occurred before I had the severe case of Lyme. I know exactly when mine occurred because I picked up an empty glass tea pitcher and that's what hurt it.
