My 3 year old recently had been tested for Lyme but I don't understand the results of her blood work.

I just want to know if I should be worried & seek a LLMD.

They are as followed:

Lyme, Total Ab Test/Reflex

   Lyme IgG/IgM Ab-1.38 HIGH

Lyme Ab Interp., EIA-Positive Abnormal

   IgG P41 Ab.-Present Abnormal

   IgG P23 Ab.-Present Abnormal

Lyme Ab IgM by WB:

   IgM P23.-Present Abnormal

I'd be extremely appreciative of any help.

Is she he being treated with anything? I'm sorry I am very new to this horrible world, so I can't offer more help, but did want to let you know my daughter(age 8) was put on amoxicillin as a preventative though her tests came back negative. I am no lab tech, but that test looks like a positive to me. what does her pediatrician say? Is she having any symptoms ?

I would encourage you to seek a LLMD, but not to worry. Yesterday, I had an appointment with my doctor and asked about my son, who is nearly 3 and is starting to show some symptoms that could be Lyme. My doctor was really encouraging and said that children usually respond really well to treatment. I hope you find a doctor who can help!

Looks positive to me. Find an LLMD. But like Nosila said, don't panic. Children typically respond very well to treatment. Was just reading about Dr. Charles Ray Jones--a CT pediatrician widely considered the foremost pediatric expert on Lyme. He has had SOOOO many success stories with kids. Their little immune systems are very strong.

I would seek out a LLMD to check. My 4 year old daughter has been in treatment for two years and doing very well. My goal is that she can take her life back and have no issues in the future. Treat now and live later.
