Hello everyone,
I recently posted a new member "scared and confused" post where I am sure I rambled like a whack job and didn't do a good job at asking the questions I had. I first tested positive 4 years ago, but doctor said it was a past infection because only some of the hands were positive!
I have been sick(but functioning) since then, never knowing what was really wrong. In the last few months, I was bitten again and this time it got very bad. It took over a month for the doctor to figure out it was lyme, because my daughter was very midly sick and we had some of the same symptoms so they were thinking maybe mono, fifths disease(parvo) or even histoplasmosis because of our chickens ( we have a hobby farm). All of my tests came back as negative for those thongs(well past exposure but not acute)
So fast forward to today...I have a positive lyme test, and my daughters is negative. She is mostly all better, has no symptoms other then blotchy skin that comes and goes. We have both had this blotchy skin for over a month. It almost looks like livedo....like Lacey /molted type...non raised and does not itch. it's way more pronounced in me, especially on my arms is very red and different. on her it covers her entire body(though it's very light on her) Her pediatrician thought it looked like a viral rash, but put her on amoxicillin anyways to be safe as we waited for lyme results.
Now that I know I am positive , I worry she has it too, but because she is young she is handling it better. It is also very possible that I had Lyme disease while pregnant with her. Has anyone seen anything like this? The blotchy skin? She has had skin problems pretty much since birth...excema ,skin allergies etc etc, But never this blotchy skin.
I am trying to post a picture...Is that allowed and what at he best way to do this?
I'm wondering if I need to have her tested through the igeneX lab I keep reading about and how exactly I would go about doing that. Because my daughter tested negative, her Pediatrician did not think it was worth investigating further. Thank you all for any help/advice. My whole world feels as if it has been knocked off the axis and I'm drowning somewhere in the Dead Sea.
