Needing Some advice on which route to go

I was diagnosed about a month ago and have been on an antibiotic which will be ending soon. As far as a follow up im unsure of which route to go. I keep being told I should see a lyme literate doctor but financially it isnt going to work for me. My main concern is finding someone who can provide information on where my disease stands and i would love to know how far along i am as far as what stage. The only information i received was my primary cares' medical assistant giving me a diagnoses over the phone and I researched on my own. I was told to follow up after. Is a infectious disease specialist any help and generally any cheaper?

Ideally, yes, you should see a Lyme-Literate doctor. Some of them do take insurance, or some insurance will pay a percentage (out-of-network benefits).

Most Infectious Diseases doctors are not Lyme-Literate...

There are some do-it-yourself-at-home herbal protocols that have been successful for some.

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately financially a lyme literate doctors not going to be possoble right now, and i have no insurance. I m going to look into a few of those home remedies though.

Hi the infectious disease dr is a waste of your time. Either do the llmd or the herbal route. I had neurological symptoms and I needed the immediate relief of abx so that is something only you can decide for yourself. Either way it is a long term recovery process.

Salt/C is another low cost home remedy. I think there is a dedicated on-line forum somewhere.

Nano silver is an option too. I would find someone who would test you for HLA and MTHFR genetics mutations and organic solvents. That way you will know if you have a problem with mold and need to address that or not. These tests are best done at Labcorp. Hope you find the best route for you!
