Sore arm?

Hi everyone, I'm new here and not yet been tested for Lyme. I have been having some problems for awhile and the Doctors don't seem to know what's going on and they are not really trying hard to figure it out. I did request and MRI to check for MS since I have a lot of those symptoms and it came back clear. So, as I  been searching the Internet which I have been for months I came across Lyme disease and I went, Hmm!. Last year about 4 day's after going fishing I found I tick in my head and never thought anything about it until now. There is one main symptom I'm wondering if any of you have had. My arm for about 4 months now is really sore and it will hurt like heck if I lift with it or turn it the wrong way. Has any of you experienced this? I will list my other symptoms, I'm sure I will forget a few. Thank you so much in advance.

Symptoms:

headaches

jaw, teeth pain

right eye pain

arm pain

leg pain

hand pain

feet and ankle pain

knee pain

numbness and tingling in hands and feet

right big toe numb(for a year now)

twitching

balance problems

fatigue

extreme thirst in the evening (checked for diabetes so it's not that)

right eye is blurry at times

lower back stiffness and aches

hip pain

abdominal pain

swallowing problems

pain that feels like it's in the kidneys(both sides)

Memory problems..I forget the what the heck I was going to do next or forget what I was going to say.

I agree. Get a lyme test. I also think you may have bart. I have both and I think

I can tell my symptoms apart most of the time. The numb toe makes me think it's

bart too. But, I am not a doctor just a patient trying to survive this 24/7 madness.

Leah this sounds a lot like what I'm eperiencing! Only thing is it really don't bother me when I type, just when I move it to the side or lift something..I don't sleep on my left side either and I have woken up a couple of times and it's completly numb. My left arm is really getting weak.

I see my doctor again on Wednesday and I will ask to get tested.

I have a lot to learn about this diease. I had no idea really what lyme diease was until recently. I mean I knew about it but not how bad it really is.

Last April, after a very busy weak at work (clerical - at a computer all day) - I suffered tingling/pain in my left shoulder blade, that progressed during the weak until it travelled down my arm into my hand and index finger.
The pain was excruciating - ended up in ER. I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve by my Dr., but my chiro said I had thoracic outlet syndrome.
Over the summer months it got somewhat better - painwise, but my arm was very weak and finger was numb.
Then in September it all went downhill. My pain started to get worse and I got vibrations through out my body. As time went on, I developed more and more symptoms. Had lots of blood tests, scans, mris, with nothing showing up.

So, here we are July, and I'm finally diagnosed with lyme disease. My left arm is still very painful if I try to move it - can't lift my hand above my head. I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder a couple months ago.

Just got my positive lyme diagnosis...and I truly believe it a) was lyme initially or b) I did have a pinched nerve, but the Lyme disease has not allowed it to heal properly - has attacked that area, as it still hasn't healed.

so - yes I have arm pain - sorry to be so long-winded.

lala6 - I am "winging it" so far with Lyme disease. Have gotten the Igenex test done, but not being treated by a LL doc. My regular Dr. gave me the doxy prescription for 28 days. I will have to see a ND as I live in BC, Canada, and MD's aren't permitted to treat lyme disease for more than 8 weeks - or are threatened to lose their license. ND's here in BC can write prescriptions...and they treat Lyme patients.
I didn't bother to ask her about my arm...as I don't think she'd know. I just have always had a gut feeling that there was something else wrong with me...when my so-called pinched nerve didn't heal properly...in fact started to get worse again. I have been healthy, strong and active all my life. So now, I'm chalking all my symptoms to Lyme disease...we'll see what's left over once some of the symptoms subside.

I even tried physio three times with three different therapists...and nothing helped...in fact it got worse. Went to a Dr. of chinese medicine, too and he manipulated my arm...and that hurt.

Pooella, I too have the upper left arm pain along with most all of the other symptoms you mentioned and more. My arm pain comes and goes now that I'm in treatment (since April 2014). Some days are really bad and I can't move in any way to get any relief. My toes haven't bothered me yet but my feet at times feel like they are on fire and have thousands of needles being poked in the bottoms of them. The left side of my neck also has very similar pain as my upper arm. My LLMD says these symptoms are from Bartonella. My actual diagnoses is having Lyme, Bartonella, & Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Because of these infections it has wiped out my "entire" immune system and I'm on a ton of meds do to all of this. There are a lot of folks on this site with tons of knowledge all you need to do is ask. Wishing you well in the days ahead.

Girlie - My LLMD says it will just jump around until we get it under control. My feet are much better but not the arm, neck and back. It just keeps jumping around and sometimes it's in all three locations.
