Ccbrunk, I was experiencing the same thing, woke very dizzy, head in a big fog, never even felt normal till around 5pm. It was a real struggle all day but I got through it.
Took me 15 yrs to get my Lyme diagnoses so I dealt with this for a long time. Finally last April I did a detox diet for a week, Dr. Mark Hyman has a book out, The Ultrasimplediet Diet, I followed it exactly and I felt worse before I got better, but by the 7 th day my brain fog lifted.
Now the dizziness, the tinnitus and all the other symptoms I have, came back but for several weeks I didn't have much pain in my body.
Then in November 2013, I finally got diagnosed with Lyme by a LLMD, who also checked my thyroid and put me on Naturethroid. He also did an ultrasound on my thyroid, along with blood and discovered Hashimoto, which could have come from having Lyme for 15 yrs.
Now 7-8 months into treatment I am feeling so much better but I still have a lot of pain but I do physical work.
I never had my adrenals checked but I would look into it, and you can take your temperature upon waking, usually a low reading is an indication of hypothyroid. Mine still runs low on occasion like 97.8 but it was down to 96.3 this winter and I couldn't get warm nor do I tolerate the cold winters.
Hope you start feeling better soon, people don't understand use and what we go thru till they experience the same thing. My husband now has it and can't see how I dealt 15 yrs like this but I did take Ayervedic meds for several yrs and got a break but not healed. When I quit taking them all the symptoms returned.
Praying for us all to be healed soon.
