No, since you have muscle twitching, then you should stay away from not only lemon juice, but all 'sour' or 'pickled' items as well. I'm not sure of the exact actions, but somehow these can increase muscle twitches, spasms, and cramps in some. I had issues with this too!
Well, we most certainly believe you when you say you have muscle twitching!!! That's not uncommon with Lyme disease!
On the detox soak that you do with the Epsom Salt - why not add in just about
8 ounces of hydrogen peroxide? That's not much and you can see how well your body handles it. If you don't notice any difference, then you can raise that amount just a bit more until you reach around 32 - 64 ounces in a full bathtub soak. Raising the amounts slowly is the key here.
Just like with raising the amount of Epsom Salts or peroxide in the bath, all medications, herbs and supplements must go through the same process - starting off with a very low dose and raising it slightly each time the body reaches the point where it can handle it well. So that's what "went wrong" with your using the teasel root. Too much, too fast. It created a herx (Herxheimer reaction) , aka healing crisis, in your body because the toxins that got created or released became more than your body could handle. We have to be careful to avoid doing that, as it slows (or stops if severe enough) the healing.
Personally, I used something very few others have used. You can see what it is by using the links that appear under each of my posts.
Many on here are using Buhner's protocol, which can sometimes be done on your own - at least until that person has complications of some sort. It's always best to be seeing a well-qualified Herbalist when using the herbal protocols.
buhnerhealinglyme.com/ There is also Cowden's protocol which is a bit different, but also 'natural'. We have a member posting currently that is using this protocol and is documenting her progress as she heals.
www.nutramedix.ec/ns/lyme-protocol There is also Zhang's protocol using Chinese Medicine for healing these diseases.
www.sinomedresearch.org/ There are some doctors that like to use the Byron White formulas for healing many of these infections.
byronwhiteformulas.com/ I'm sure that I haven't covered all of the herbal treatments! But that's enough to get you started.
Next we need to find you a doctor! Do you have a particular preference as to what type of doctor you use? Naturopath, Homeopath, Herbalist? If you would either post on here or email me and tell me the closest big city to where you live? We should be able to help you find a good doc.
