She's such a great Mod. She gives so much support, yet she sets appropriate boundaries. Even when she said she would back off, she still helped a lot of people out.

She's also right about everything. I was trying to take a bunch of antimicrobial herbs, even though she advised me against it, and of course I did have a major herx.

I went to my FNP, who said, "Only one herb at a time," which was pretty much what Trav. had told me.

Thanks to Trav., and all the other Mods. This forum has the best Mods!

I agree. I honestly don't know what I would have done without Traveler. She calmed me down when everyone around me had no idea how to! Not to mention she is like the bible of lyme disease lol. I'm still learning from her!

Taveler is amazing. We are so lucky to have her on this forum to help us. She is so knowledgeable and so kind. I always look forward to reading her posts.

Thanks to all the mods who take the time to help. You're all doing a wonderful job. I'm so happy I found this forum.

Totally agree!! I've been reading posts from a few years back and even then she was an incredible help! This Lyme community would not be the same without her! All the mods are really great!! I'm just so thankful for this Forum. I've learned more here than anywhere! Doctors should read the posts here, it would make them so much better Drs!

It was so nice of you to post your appreciation. Comments like this makes what the Moderators do all worth it! :)

Yes, I learned a lot from this forum, I learned about detoxing, herbal remedies, etc. etc.

I also made some online friends.

And of course, I found people who know what it's like to lose your friends and your famly and to be dismissed by all your doctors.

And a forum without the appropriate moderators to guide people, to set limits, and to give appropriate advice wouldn't be the same!

I've been in other forums where the mods never chimed in.

I agree as well!!! Traveler you have been the calm in our "storms"!!! I took your advice and have not gone the IV route. Thank you for your common sense approach to this disease! smilewinkgrin

Oh My! smhair blush Golly gee shucks, guys and gals! *kicks dirt with toe of boot* blush I don't even know what to say, other than thank you so much for all those kind words!!! :-)

I was once lost and in denial about having Lyme - that was back in late 2006 - by the time I joined Healing Well in 2007, I was ready to find someone to treat me, but after a year, I was worse off. This forum literally saved my life. It connected me with people that understood these infections and helped me find my way through my misery and pain and learn how to detox (thanks Deejavu! My detoxing Guru!), and also provided the support and kindness that I needed to make it through my 2 years of treatment. And I've gotten a lot out of this forum even after I healed! I've found friendship, compassion for things I was going through and information too!

How can I leave now? smilewinkgrin I would like to eventually leave this forum, but only to set up a local support group - once I get healthy enough.

Oh- and "know it all"??? LOL!!! wink I'm sure I sound like it sometimes!!! turn Having had these infections from the time I was a small child until the age of 47, I sure went through a lot of - uhmmm, shall we say "stuff"? There's only 1 reason why I could imagine I would have gone through so much - to pass on information and help others where I could.

I couldn't have done this without the help of some really wonderful people that have chosen to be Mods with me!! While several have moved on with their lives, there are several that are here now that help make this forum what it is. There is a lot of "behind the scenes" work that gets done!

So a big hearty Thank you!! goes out to the other Mods here past and present!! The ones that are here now that make this forum what it is: Opugirl (who is also healed!!!), Garden Peace and MarieLS!! Thanks all, you make it possible for this forum to run as smoothly as possible- and for me to not pull out my hair!! :-)

Oh Traveler,

You are truly a wonderful lady as well as a strong one with a great sense of humor. Sometimes I think you are the only one who truly understands me, LOLOL!!

Anyway, I agree with Teragram! And the other Mods here are wonderful too!

I'll say thank you for all the Mod's! :-) It's not an easy job- especially when someone is mad at us for upholding the rules, but we do our best.

But let's not forget that it's you members that keeps this forum the way it is too! Without your participation we wouldn't have much of a forum!! We have a community rather than just a forum because you all care enough to allow it to flow here as well!!

So let's all keep up the good work of helping each other through this most difficult time of our lives - we are all in this together as the research hasn't caught up to the needs of the patients! :-)
