Mepron... for Lyme cysts?

A colleague recently told me that mepron is effective in breaking open the cyst form of Lyme.

I've never heard of this - can anyone confirm or has anyone heard about this at all?

I have only heard of using mepron to treat babesia.

My LLMD gave me Malarone when I declined Tindamax for cyst-busting so yes Mepron can be used for that.

I tried searching and I cannot find this anywhere. Anyone have a source for mepron busting cysts?

Tough to say Mike. I only took 1 pill 3 days a week for a short time because I quit abx. There was no reaction good or bad that I can tell while I was on it.

Really? This is the first I've heard about it.

Has anyone heard of using rifampin for Lyme cysts? I heard it from a few LLMDs as well but I can't find any research on it.

My LLMD doctor mentioned this recently, when talking about possible treatment changes for me. I've been having a hard time.

He said not only does it treat babesia, it also has an efficacy against Lyme cysts. Interesting, yes? I need to look into it some more.
