Hi Ambier!
Welcome to our community!
Please don't wait! Not many test positive on the Elisa test that you got! It's sensitivity isn't that great (giving many false negatives), so you would likely also test positive on the other tests as well.
I would suggest that you start with reading through our "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread if you haven't yet. It's packed with important and helpful information, symptoms lists of the different tick-borne diseases (Lyme is rarely the only infection passed), detoxing suggestions, helpful links, and informative pdf's.
You will need to see a specially trained doctor though, as these are very complex bacteria that create very complex infections. The wrong - or not enough - treatments could leave you to deal with an on-going infection. The doctors that we usually recommend are known as LLMD's (Lyme Literate Medical Doctors) or LLND (Lyme Literate Naturopathic Doctors), although there are also Lyme Literate Herbalists and Lyme Literate Homeopaths. The point is they need to have had training through ILADS -International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society, or be an Herbalist that has dealt with these infections before.
For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, you can start a new thread titled something like:"Looking for LLMD
/LLND in the _______ area." Although you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.
You can email Stephanie at:

www.turnthecorner.org/ if you want to learn a little bit more about
Lyme Disease.
You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:
www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74 You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) trained doctor, as ID Docs (Infectious Disease Doctors) believe Lyme is hard to catch and easy to treat, and don't believe in the reality of chronic Lyme. The ILADS site is another great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.
