One symptom that both me and my husband have is trouble with our ears. His ring really loud he says and I can hear my heartbeat in mine when I'm laying on my pillow at night. Is this a Lyme symptom? Has anyone had these ear symptoms go away with treatment?

Hi Kate,

Ear issues are a common symptom of Lyme. It will get better with treatment! I get the sound sensitivity, ear ringing, and ear whooshing noises - it sounds like the ocean!

Oh ya!

I get fantom deeps ear pains in my left ear, and also deafening ringing in my ears at random times.

I have all kinds of ear stuff going on. Sometimes I get severe deep ear pain during the night if I lie on one side too long.

I also hear my heart beating in my ears when I lie on my couch to watch TV in the evenings. For some reason that's when I notice it the most. I thought maybe it is the position I lie in, because why doesn't it happen at other times or places. Who knows!

I also have this itchy scaly stuff in my ears which I am told is similar to exzema. I don't know if it's Lyme related but it must be - everything else is.

Katemorgan, I used to get ear whooshing sounds as well. They have long since gone but occasionaly I get ear ringing. Has your LLMD recommended ear drops for you? Mine has in past, but I can't remember the name. Maybe someone else out there might know? confused

Thanks for the replies. My husband doesn't think he has Lyme, but has a few symptoms such as the ears ringing. My LLMD was too busy to get him in, now I'm worried about my girls. This is overwhelming. I need to find a new doctor too, or something different. Good to know that the ear stuff will go away if we can get the right treatment.
