I ave had lymes for 8 years I have just gotten off of a 2 months IV treatment, feeling much better, I am wondering if there are others that have all the inflammation, and how are you treating it. If someone has had good results with a remedy for the inflammation please let me know. Thank you, Meg

Hi Margomeg,
Are you planning to continue your treatment with other means? Since you have chronic Lyme disease, 2 months of treatment - even with IV abx- isn't enough, especially if you are still having symptoms (inflammation).

As for helping with inflammation, many - including myself, have found that turmeric is incredibly helpful.

RTF - Lyme disease is an inflammatory infection - the inflammation is in between the cells - but many others, especially when their joints are involved, can see swelling in their joints or in their soft tissues like around their ankles/feet or wrists/hands. The joints in my fingers used to actually swell so bad that I couldn't get my wedding ring on/off. Once on, it fit fine though.

Many here use turmeric (curcumin) and have good results. I have been using it for the last 4 years and wouldn't want to live without it! It helps with joint inflammation too.

It would depend on where and how bad your inflammation is as to what you should be using, but you could certainly start on the turmeric to see if it helps you any. The only caution that there is with it is if you are on blood thinners or have a tendency for thin blood/bleeding then you want to be very, very careful with the turmeric and it would be best for you to check with your doctor before using it.
