Sponaugle was limited in my opinion. Yeah, I’ve done neurotransmitters with dr ortly. It wasn’t enough because for me, the key was addressing the whole infection. I had a high viral load. Everybody is different and I need a different approach. Envita is providing that for me.

If you follow my writing you will see that outside of my PCP who was trying to give me narcotics and antidepressants I have not criticized anyone. One of the reasons why I blog about Sponaugle is so that others can decide if this is the right place for them. Would you mind sharing detailed information about why Envita is working for you? I think everyone would greatly appreciate knowing what exactly they do and what worked for you.

I also work in the health field and can wholeheartedly support your comment that no diet or lifestyle change alone can heal a disease caused by viral, bacterial, or parasitic agents, unless you consider curative herbal solutions part of your diet. As to silvermurr's comment regarding such, that is the exact kind of pseudo science and discrimination that we lyme patients face everyday from family, friends, and non-LLMDs. Goes right along with "It's all in your head", or, "Have you been under a lot of stress lately?". With any chronic disease, supporting your immune system with a healthy diet and lifestyle is important, but in order to get better you must destroy the disease causing agents, and not even the healthiest diet and lifestyle regimen can do that!! BTW, I know a couple of lyme's survivors who made it back to good health with no diet or lifestyle changes, just lengthy and appropriate treatment of the causative agents.

Most of us understand that there is no one size fits all treatment, and that not everyone will be helped by these clinics, but we allow these threads to continue so that new members and visitors will be able to read the stories and decide for themselves if they wish to go to one of these clinics.

I'm so sorry for your experience so far! You have found likely the best thread for opinions on those centers.

Since you're new here, and we don't know your story, I would like to ask some questions. Are you sure the LLMD that you were using was trained by ILADS? Were they using ILADS treatment standards and did they have you detoxing?

In your other post, you asked, "Has anyone had any success treating with herbs and antibiotics?" The answer is yes!! Very much so. I have healed using herbs only, and we have quite a few 'success stories', it's just that usually once people heal, they just want to get back to their lives. We do have a few members that have healed that are gracious enough to come back and post from time to time though!

Should you still wish to find information on finding a​n ILADS trained​ LLMD in your area, you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.

You can start a new thread with the title something like, Looking for a LLMD in the ________ area. That will get your request a lot more views that posting at the end of someone else's thread. But again, you need to have your email enabled in order to receive recommendations as we generally don't allow LLMD names to be posted on the forum in order to protect them.

​ You will want to find an ILADS trained doctor, not one that has self proclaimed themselves as a LLMD or an ID Doc (Infectious Disease Doctor), as ID docs believe Lyme is hard to catch and easy to treat, and don't believe in the reality of chronic Lyme. I'm very new to this site but sadly not new to Lyme. I wanted to introduce myself to this group. After 7 years of horrendous pain and 14 years filled with continual fatigue my pain levels started to lower two weeks into adequate treatment. Envita Medical in Scottsdale was a life saver for me.
