Kate, I think some people do feel a lot better. Research shows that the most successful treatment is iv abx, basically Rocephin. The only other research that has been done regarding herbs, at least as far as I know, is Dr. Eva Sapi's research on Banderol and Samento. She's not a med. doctor, so I hope it's ok to mention her name? I think she's at the University of CT New Haven, but I might not have remembered that correctly.
Traveler had great success with the Misty Meadows protocol, which she did without alcohol.
Once you kind of know your way around Lyme and the multiple remedies, some of which work, others of which don't, you end up like me--combining protocols. So, I've ordered Jernigan's CNS anti-tox, but I'm still using Cowden's Burbur, Pinella, and Parsley (along with Samento), and at some point, I'm going to try Traveler's Tea. I still take antimicrobials from my regular LLMD, and I have a FAR infrared.
