Now getting ALS symptoms

Lately I have been getting ALS symptoms so I'm starting to get concerned that my Lyme disease might progress into ALS.

I have a general kind of muscle weakness with my hands, and I feel like they are a bit clumbsy. I also have the muscle fascinations occasionally.

Does anyone else get this symptom? I am just making sure because I am worried my Lyme disease might turn into ALS.

But I am glad they are doing lots of funding now to support ALS research so in case my Lyme progresses into ALS they might have a cure by then.

Don't worry Lymepickle. Those are symptoms of Lyme.

I had muscle fasciculations for many months along with tremors and weakness. My tremors went away first, followed by a reduction in weakness, and finally the twitches went away.

My hands have been "tired" lately when I use them and feel week, too.

I have muscle fasciculations all the time - yesterday it was my right hand and my tongue. Today is my left lower arm.
After a few months of treatment I started loosing muscle tone/strength very quickly, in 1 or 2 weeks, very quickly. I'm a woman, but I had a lot of muscle strength. It decreased over the years because the infection was getting worse, but then with treatment it got a lot worse. I have no power left in my hands (can't open jars, squeeze things, etc), it's ridiculous. Husband is mocking me, cause I used to have a lot of strength in my hands, now he sometimes thinks I'm joking when I'm using all of my force to squeeze his hand and it's like a child's hand LOL

This is very comon with Lyme and/or Bartonella.

I started getting symptoms last fall (if I don't include the radiculopathy on my upper left side that started the prior April - jury is out on that one)
In September I got the vibrations in my body (nervous system), couple weeks or so later I got the twitches. It was horrible...I could actually see them moving my muscles. They would be in my arms, legs, back, feet...sometimes two places at once, they would move around...they only stopped when I fell asleep.
Then a couple weeks later I got the tremors - really bad in my hands - worse on my left side which was weak from the radiculopathy/pinched nerve....
While I had the tremors I also got weak. I had to stop driving because I couldn't put enough pressure on the brakes when driving.
Yup...thought I had either ALS or Parkinson's disease.
The tremors calmed down I think by December and by February, they were gone. I hadn't started any treatment for Lyme yet.
I'm thinking the stress of work was making my lyme symptoms worse...and perhaps leaving work in mid November helped. Or maybe my immune system just kicked in.
I was also taking estrogen hormone...which I stopped...when the symptoms became unbearable (I blame the estrogen...but Dr.'s said that was ridiculous). The vibrations, twitching, tremors all happened two weeks or so after starting the estrogen....I think it triggered the lyme. But, the Docs just roll their eyes at that.
