Anyone pass out?

First, I am so very sorry you and your family have to go through this. It sure sounds like hell and scary as hell to have your daughter so sick.

For me, while I feel light headed and close to fainting if I get up from sitting or lying down, I have never stopped breathing and passed out like what happened to your daughter. The blue lips are a definite sign she stopped breathing or of her lungs closing up. Could she possibly be allergic to the doxy? When you were on the walk did you notice her having any trouble breathing? Did the paramedics or ER giver her adrenaline/epinephrine? Did they say anything about allergies to medicine?

Again, I am no medical expert, but it sounds like there might be something other than the Lyme in play here. Though I am sure it plays a part as it messes with just about every bodily function.

I'm sure sorry you had to go through that and sorry she did too. That was very scarey for you 3. How long was she ill before she started treatment? I may have missed your post where you first talked about her. Is she seeing a LLMD? If she is, he shouldn't just assume her infection is gone after that episode.

My daughter has been sick for at least 16 years, so I know how hard it is to watch them suffer, although she doesn't have as many things to deal with as a lot of the people on here. Hopefully you'll get some answers.

I should have emphasized that I have not had this for nearly as long as most on this site, but from what I have learned that little Bb bacteria can "drill" itself into any tissue in the body and can even make it past the blood brain barrier and effect the brain (hence, may contribute to the dizzyness/passing out, but sounds like it may be mostly heart related in your daughter's case since she has history).
One thing I can say FOR SURE, is that Lyme & Co. increases the impact of any and all existing health issues (from heart issues to back problems). Again, I am truly sorry for all you and your daughter are going through, but I would HIGHLY encourage you to get to an experienced LLMD (particularly one with vast experience treating people with other health issues similar to your daughter's) ASAP. I know its easier said than done, but don't be afraid to email Traveler, who is a WEALTH of information and can really help you!

She has had a lot of blood work a couple months ago. Only things to come back was low vitamin d3 and b12. Also her kidneys showed high creatinine. She has been very ill for over 4 months now. It took 2 months for them to start her on doxy. I know of once she had the bad rash from the tick bite, but she's been bitten so many times before that, she may have had it before and I didn't know. Now she's just left with the pain in the top of her head, stomach pain, and throat pain. She is 22 and had fully repaired asd of her heart when she was 4. She has Down syndrome but has had a very healthy happy life until now. She is depressed and moody most of the time now. :( by the way I am in Virginia. We do not have an LLMD. I do not think I can afford one so I have to take her where I can. I appreciate so much your thoughtfulness and help. I accept any help and info you can give Traveler.

She had another EKG, CT Scan and blood test at The ER again this week. They said her blood pressure is dropping 20+ when she stands and is probably due to the doxy making her dehydrated. She eats and drinks plenty now but I guess she could still be dehydrated from the meds. She is just so depressed and just wants to sit alone. I think its the sense of well being from going through so many different sicknesses and pains from this disease. It's crazy to think that tiny tick ruined my daughters life! So sorry for all of you who are suffering also. It's a shame this causes so much pain for so many people and there's not much help offered.

I am convinced she has Chronic bartonella with her Lyme. She has almost all the symptoms.
