Seizures?

I've been experiencing episodes in the evening for a week now. I don't know if these episodes are seizures or not.

It starts with a wave of nausea and a sensation of pressure somewhere along the back of my head & neck, sometimes extending down my back along my spine. Sometimes, I also get a bad taste/smell (can't tell which).

Then I start tremoring. My whole upper body sways back and forth, or sometimes it is just my head and/or left shoulder. Sometimes, the swaying is very jerky and very forceful. I cannot control these.

Sometimes my leg will swing in conjunction with my hips, too. But mostly this affects my spine and neck and head and left shoulder/arm.

I am fully aware of what is going on during these episodes. After a few minutes of the shaking and jerking, sometimes it will stop. The shaking/jerking is so bad I have to close my eyes to keep the vertigo I've had for a year from making me get sick to my stomach.

When the episode of shaking & jerking is over, I often have difficulty opening my eyes, speaking, and moving any part of my body below my neck. This can last from a few seconds to a half an hour. I am usually quite exhausted during this time also.

Usually, I only have one episode per evening (usually between 7pm-9pm), but I have experienced more than one on several occasions too. The other night, one episode was just ending and I went right back into another episode.

I often taste stomach juices after an episode, too.

My doctor does not think these are seizures, but they sure resemble descriptions of Simple Partial Seizures that I've read online... What do you think - and has anyone had these, too?

I would say yes, these are seizures. You can go here to see what type they are- or maybe you are having more than one type, but it kind of sounds like a myoclonic seizure. I had something like these, and it affected my whole body. I would "bounce" off of anything that I was sitting/laying on:

I'm so very sorry that you are now dealing with this on top of everything else you have been through!!

I have had several different types of seizures while I was sick the first time around. I never did know what all contributed to my seizures, although I suspected it was the inability to detox well, since as I got further into my treatment for Lyme, they eventually quit.

Very exhausting though!!

Is there anyway they could do a sleep study or something else where someone can monitor you when it happens?

No, the doctor has not prescribed anything.

I hook up to IV food (TPN - contains amino acids, dextrose, electrolytes, trace minerals, vitamins, & saline) around 5:30pm or so, and it runs for 16 hours. I usually only get the seizure-like episodes 7-9pm, and have had a couple as late as 11pm. I don't get them earlier in the day (except the first day they started).

Anyway, I tried some essential oils and this is what helped (no seizure-like episode hit me the evening after I put these oils on):

Idaho Balsam Fir + Copaiba -- a few drops massaged gently along my whole spine (top of neck to tailbone).

Sacred Frankincense + Valor (blend of spruce, rosewood, blue tansy, & frankincense in a base of coconut oil) -- one drop of each oil at the base of my skull on the back of my neck.

Did this at around 6pm or so, and I did not have any seizure-like activity and did not have any muscle tremors or jerking.

First time in a week :) My nerves felt so much calmer after putting on the oils.

I was just thinking the same thing - since the oils helped, I was wondering if the CBD oil would work well also. There is a type known as "Charlotte's Web" that was specifically bred to help with seizures and has helped many children - specifically one named Charlotte - stop seizure activity in her brain & body. The poor girl was having something like 100 seizures a day.

I'm glad the oils worked for you so quick. Will you need to keep taking them or did the one time correct the problem? I don't have much experience with the essential oils, but I know some Lyme patients that have been helped bu them quite a bit.

Thanks for Charlotte's story. Those guys were great to help her so much without the family having to pay thousands of dollars. I hope good things will come their way. If you decided to try it, I hope it will help you a lot too.

New here and looking for seizure answers. First a tiny background why I think Lyme-8years ago accident in mountain community I live in, went over cliff, multipul injuries with bullseyes about a week later showing up. Made many jokes about bullseyes-if I only knew...

Have also photos of this summer ticks burried in my scalp-even have 3 deer ticks + 2 dog ticks in a jar. Horror stories about new 'health care professionals' including police being called during seizure and police made 'diagnosis' of drug use-carted off in police car-all drug/alcohol tests negitive so now I'm simply delusional...

2 doctors now agree possible Lyme, 1 says 'so what? Everyone has fungus!' (3 years with MRSA and no toenails) 1 OBGYN even perscribed Flaygl, Doxy + Diflucan-felt SO GREAT-for 10 days. No dr. Willing to run tests, much less look at a photo. Managed to get new primairy and was told 'Lyme testing too expensive and you're paranoid schitzophrenic" , but got EEG anyway 'to prove once and for all' how delusional I am. Good thing I actually had seizurs for the eeg...

My seizurs are so strange-I have felt like I'm on a boat for about 2 years-it intensifies and my ears sound like a plane is roaring into them. My sense of smell either is gone completely or so intense I can smell the laundry detergent everyone around me uses. I rarely go completely out. I flush all over-my skin crawls (biofilm problems) my skin burns and I feel a disconnect from my body while thrashing about-and one eye or the other feels like it's being ripped out. It's every 3 days the intense ones that is-most days I get all the above on a much lesser scale and apply yoga breathing and attempt refocusing on something that will fire up thinking about anything but panic. Lately it's been quorum sensing.

That is part 1 of the seizure-next I can't speak, drool, slur, feel drunk (been years, so no, don't drink) my body goes limp, can't open my eyes-but unfortunately I can hear. Usually it's 'oh get her out of my office' or 'I'm not buying the act Carol" There have been times I go out unexpectedly and a nurse even attempted to inform an ambulance driver I was completely out just under 4 minutes, but it's usually a seuzire due to blatent patronizing doctors that set me off.

This almost always sabatoges my chances-yep-i sure do understand that little glitch, so now I carry written notes I do starting about 5 days prior to appointments explaining I can write, hear and all questions should be answered in my notes.

The last stage of the sezuire is to me the most perplexing-I either 1) feel so much better I want to power walk, can speak, actually read and retain, and my double vision leaves for hours, leading me to believe that type was a Herx reaction and some toxin is lessening. Or 2) the exact oppisite-+ tongue swelling, lips swelling, white 'fuzz' above my neck, redish purple ears, knees swell, feet burn on soles, stagger, skin burns and turns translucent for moments before being covered in new biofilm of red and yellow patches leaving me bewilderd, feeling lost, loosing words, and everything I touch slides out of my hands-I'm actually slick! If I attemp to stand still, I can't speak and it starts all over-so I force myself to walk, not too far or I get lost, but to the end of the driveway and back 4-5 X is sufficient to end my shaking and vertigo.

My question is there any coinfections that have the added bonus of the boat feeling, I left out electric shock in elbows felling, leaving body feeling-I vaguely remember reading an article about those manifestations, but can't remember where. The second option seuzire is almost ALWAYS upon returning home.


I should also note I have been diagnosed with black mold poisioning, 'some kind of protoazoa', 'some kind of fungus of hair, skin, nails', skin candida, thrush, MRSA in toes + ears, Hep C (self treated with zero viral load for years) , calcified granulomas in lungs, some kind of red cell take over-can't remember, Ehlers-Danlos, VonWilderbrands (bleeder and bleed through skin), inoperable 'floaters' and lastly-'nothing is wrong with you" by new infectious disease specialist.

I'm offered psyche drugs now and get dyflucan only 2X a month. I'm bald, broke, scary to look at, painfully thin, almost blind and in constant pain. I live in horrible unsanitairy conditions in a driveway in my falling apart RV towed here by my ex landlord-I have written every agency for help since 2 cats and 1 dog died recently-don't hate landlord, but he's a hoarding mess and getting better here seems a pipe dream.

I do take herbs and isk getting off topic now-so I'll take biofilm questions elsewhere and keep reasearching. I just don't agree with 'just live with it' thinking or that myself and over 34 other people that have actually looked at my photos are all delusional.

I have been researching this as well (ammonia). The only thing I could find.. I think I can post this because its an autism doc and not lyme related... is Dr. Yasko's autism protocol. But the protocol is also recommended for adults with neuroinflammation. She has an ammonia protocol and a specific product on her store website.

A high viscosity blood can cause what you are talking about. IMO, the main contributing factor to your TIA's are due to biofilm formation and copper issues. As for seizures, there are many causes. For people like us that are afflicted with parasitic diseases, the cause is often an unstable cellular membrane due to Kir receptor problems. It is a huge cascade of events that occur with Spermidine being a major player. Your Arginine levels could be low, you could be high in Aluminum, your sodium levels may be low, many issues could be at play. IMO from what I've seen, Aluminum plays a role in many of theses issues. Our likelihood of getting cancer is elevated due to so many polyamines.
