lyme and heart issues

One of my symptoms are tachycardia and arrhythmia. I'm pretty sure that these are related to the lyme because I am 29, active, eat healthily, don't smoke and rarely drank in the past (don't at all now) and no family history. So, I did a 3 week course of doxy alone in July and then had a 3 week to a month break because the doctor that diagnosed me would not give me any more meds and now I am seeing an LLMD and just started treatment of doxy, plaquenil, and teasel root. I am in the 3rd week of treatment. My heart issues seem to be increasing (the other morning I woke up to my heart beating out of my chest and just some annoying pains here and there). I have been to my cardiologist and she wants to do an EP study in a couple of weeks. My question is, has anyone here had heart issues and how long until they went away after starting treatment? I am very anxious about this EP study and if this is lyme related, don't think I would need to do it.

My tachychardia increased by at least double when I went on treatment. It did take an annoyingly long time to go away. As long as you have the okay from the cardio just keep plugging away.

Hawthorne tincture and magnesium helped calm my heart down. Mainly the hawthorne.

It will take some time but your heart issues should go away with treatment.

I think it's important to get a full cardio workup. Lyme can effect the heart and you should be monitored. If nothing else you'll feel better if issues come up:)

An EP study is when they thread a catheter into your vein and lead it into your heart. They then make your heart skip beats and such to see what is causing it to do that and ways to fix it. My fear is that they are going to be directly involved in my heart which is what is holding me back. I agree though that afterward, I should feel better knowing. I think my husband is concerned though too since it is somewhat invasive and there are risks like clots, stroke and even a heart attack! That's why I was hoping it would resolve itself and I could skip this type of test. I have had an EKG and holter monitor and monitor for 30 days which was how they found the beating issues (it was not diagnosed on my EKG or holter).
