what was your highest fever with chronic lyme?

I am still trying to figure out if is true that we (people with lyme) do not get high grade fever. We only get low grade fever because these bacteria are controlling our body's temperature for their survival. I am just curious, if anyone with chronic lyme has gotten a fever above 103.

The sicker I got, the lower my temps would go. I got as low as 96.4 one time with the "flu" that I supposedly had years before I knew I had Lyme disease.

I had to have my appendix removed ('04) because it was badly infected and ready to burst (it had already started leaking before they could get me into surgery), and at that point they were all remarking how interesting it was that I didn't have a very high fever - it was at 101. My 'normal' temp back then was 97.4, so my fever was higher than they thought.

I haven't had a temp above 99.7. My lowest was 94!

I've barely hit 98. Since I've come down with my symptoms My usual is around the 96-97 range. I thought my thermometer was cheap and not working correctly. So I bought another one and same thing. There were a couple of days where I felt okay and when I took my temp, it was in the normal 98.6 range. Part of the problem is that when I went to the doctors telling them I wasn't feeling well, my temp was low and they didn't think anything was wrong.

My blood pressure has also been on the low or within normal range. The only thing that doesn't seem to be low at all is my heart rate.

I ran a low-grade fever for years. My doctor couldn't figure it out.

Now my temperature runs really low, as in below normal, until I get a virus. I tend to get cyclic viruses that come and go; I don't really understand it.

But during the viruses, my temp. will go up as high as 101.

I don't get high fevers. Maybe 100 or so was the highest I've gotten in the last several years.

about 101.5 if having fevers, which sometimes I do for months at a time, and sometimes I run very low 96.9.

I'm usually between 96 and 97,5
Feeling pretty sick and feverish at 99,5 (drs grin at me when I say I feel very feverish at 99,5 - aren't they funny??)
Highest I remember was when having a Pneumonia (Chlamydia Pn) at 101. Dr then didn't think it was serious until the bloodtest came back... Really funny eyes

That's the problem, if your normal body temp is around 97 and you run a temp of 99 that means that your body temp is elevated a full two degrees. For those that run at the normal 98 - a temp of 99 isn't a big deal, but if they reach 100 - doctors start to notice.

I quit telling them what my actual temp was and started telling the docs that I was running a full 2 (or whatever it was) degrees above normal. They seem to 'hear' that better. Of course, once they get you in the exam room and they take your temp, then you have to explain about your normal temp only being 97, but at least they usually will tend to you since you've already made it past the 'guard'.
