Hi have been sick for 4years never felt like this before is anxiety depression normal in lymes disease just want to get better please email rolleyes

Hi catchscooter - yes anxiety and depression are symptoms.
I experienced those two symptoms for the first time in my life...turned out to be lyme. But, it sure puzzled me at first...why all of a sudden my mental health declined.

Do you have an appointment scheduled with a Lyme Literate MD? That is something very important to do. A regular Dr. or ID Dr. isn't qualified to treat lyme disease.

Hi Catchscooter,

Yes, anxiety and depression are very normal, for both Lyme and Bartonella. These are symptoms that are hard to deal with.

Have you already started treatment? Cause treatment (the herxing that goes with it) can make symptoms more intense.
When I started treatment, I didn't know what was happening to me, cause I never heard of herxing, and I didn't know at all that symptoms would get more intense, or that I would develop more symptoms.

Are you seeing a LLMD or LLND??? If so, I would certainly talk to him/her about your feelings. If it gets too bad for you, it might be necessary to take something natural or other to keep it under controll.

Hi mariel i am trying to enable my email its a little confusing but i am confused to begin with lol came on here today because i am going to a place but i am fed up with them they do not return phone calls and i am paying alot of money to go there sso yes def need a doctor lyme literate in the philadelphia area someone affordable thankyou jennifer

It would be better if you started a new thread 'Looking for LLMD in Philadephia area', so that it stands out. There's a chance that your question will be overlooked because it's part of another thread.

I think you will have quick responses to that question. I myself can't help you with drs in the US, since I'm in Europe :-)

Did you read through our thread on top of the Lyme page 'New to Lyme?... Start here!'. It has a lot of information. But maybe you are already up-to-date since you are already getting treatment?

What are you taking at this moment?? what kind of treatment?

Please don't hesitate to ask questions, or just get something off your system, this is a great support group.

Same here, anxiety was my second major symptom that lasted a month before treatment, went away, but now coming back while temporarily off medication. I was also told that symptoms will come back in reverse order during treatment. The Dr. today told me that it could be from Bartonella.
