Mepron? Scared!

LLMD suspects I now have babs, and wants me to continue with biaxin, remove omnicef, only use flagyl at the end of the week - at the end of the month, and add mepron and artimisinin daily M-F

I was supposed to start this week, but decided to take one week off and just use my A-L drops and give my body a rest.

I've heard that Mepron should be taken with fats, but that's about all I know about it.

Anyone take it? Results? Seems like a pretty strong drug, it was $1500!! Thank God for $8 co-pay.

I am on the generic for Mepron. You'll have to forgive me I can't remember how to spell it but it starts with an A. My pharmacy added citrus flavor to it which I did not request so I haven't experienced the awful taste people are talking about. Maybe that is something you can request. For me I'm just like eh it's just for a second then I can chase it or eat something so no biggie. I was also on artmeinsin at the same time. I can't really say if it's helped or not but I will tell you this start out slow and build up to your full dosage. I noticed when I went from nothing to the full dose my calves were so stiff it hurt to walk which was not a symptom I had before. Best of luck & remember it's your body if something doesn't feel right back off on the med for a little bit.

Thanks all! I started today. I chased it with a spoon of almond butter. Wasn't bad at all.
I'm supposed to do one teaspoon twice a day, but I'm just going to start at once a day for the next few days, then add the second dose along with the artesiminin.
