Ugh... My arms hurt today.. And yesterday. And the day before yesterday . My arms hurt really really badly. The most they have hurt since I got this. It just started on like Thursday.

Does anyone else's arms hurt?

Traveler... When you got your remission did it get rid of all the symptoms completely?

LP - my arms hurt, and my shoulders. It's not when I've overused them, either...just regular movements hurts them. I don't know if it's muscles...or tendons...how do you tell?

Girlie...

I can tell it is my tendons because it feels in between the 2 bones in my forearms. You know the tendons that control your fingers? There are a whole bunch of them in the arm. Also some other larger tendons I have also have the issue.

For muscle burning. I don't really get that anymore. Neuro issues. Done. Darn tendons!!! Ugh, and I read Dr.Horrowitz notes, tendons are tricky to treat. I think most other places in my body have most of the illness cleared out.

It just started on Thursday and is really bad right now! I hadn't had this since August.

Is it just me. Or is lyme just really really hard to treat! Is anyone else feeling frustrated as I am?

I'm with ya Mike. (way beyond frustrating).

Both my shoulders started hurting after being on abx for 1 1/2 months. Never had that area hurt before...they're also stiff...getting dressed is difficult.

I don't think it's a herx in my case. But, I'm wondering if it's a co infection - maybe after treating the lyme, the bart is now coming to the surface?

I sure hope I'm not just getting worse...instead of better!!!!!

Lymepickle - it was my arms that gave me the most trouble with all of this. I couldn't sleep at night, bc I like to rest my head on my arms. They always felt like there was a "pulling" feeling in them from my elbows down. I have to ask you again - have you been taking teasel root? bc teasel is what I think helped pull the lyme out of my joints and then the antibiotics killed it. I am sure of this, because it took months before my arms got better. My shoulder still gives me trouble, but not like in the past. Also, what are you taking for your muscles/joints??? any fish oil, omega supps? coenzyme q?? I know I keep repeating myself, but these supplements really, really help.

LP, I had a lot of tendon pain toward the end of treating with azithromycin. I switched to doxy plus herbs and tendon pain resolved. My ANA also went positive around the time my tendon pain was really bad.
Did Lyme cause it? Or the antibiotics? Not sure. But both are hard on us.

Sorry you're still struggling with this. But I agree with everyone else - I think you're almost done.
How about trying naturopathy/herbs/rife and stopping abx for awhile...? Might be worth a shot! Just a thought. That's what I would try in your shoes. Maybe your body has just had enough.

All abx CAN (have potential to) cause tendon issues.

Hope things look up ASAP!!

LP I had the worst tendinitis that lasted about 9 months before I even knew I had Lyme but was helping my husband move brush to burn piles. I actually got a few steroid shots at the time to help with the pain. Once in awhile if I'm golfing I can feel them but so far it hasn't come back.

I would try the teasel root like Chap mentioned, I have been using it now for 3-4 months and seems to be helping.

The only teasel root I found was in tenchature(however u spell that) liquid with alcohol content.

I'm on Flagle and was told to avoid even the smallest amount of alcohol - as to not get sick from the combination. So I never used the teasel root.

You have no issues with this combo? Or does your teasel root not have alcohol in it?

Thanks everyone for your replies. I know we're all suffering here but it actually makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one suffering like this. So thanks for sharing your sufferings! Lol


Chapelle - thanks so much for your replies. And no worries about repeating! Sometimes I need to be reminded of the solutions. I have so many supplements it is incredible, I think I have like at least 1 of every supplement ever, and I don't want to take them all at the same time as that will just overload my body. I bought a bottle of coconut fish oil! Yummy! DHA and EPA.. That might help relieve the inflammation. Co q 10 for tendons too? And yes I still have half a bottle of teasel, I should finish it off. But guess what? My tendon pain went down today... Only to be substituted with eye ball pain lol! But I also messaged my LLMD and he assured me antibiotics do get into the tendons and he said it could be a herx like I had in August. I think tendons and deep tissues might be the last places that herx.

So revive... Your tendon pain is better? That is good news to me! I hope it's just a herx. My tendons were fine last week? I don't get t just all of a sudden pain for no apparent reason other than lyme bacteria.

It sounds like a herx since you are feeling better. Some of my worst herxing was just increased muscle pain.

My tendons are better!
