i just want to say.. I think I'm starting to officially believe that herbs work better than antibiotics.. I have currently been taking japenese knotweed for a few days, and for the first time in years, I actually feel decent.. Like I feel a lot happier... I really recommend this product if you can handle it.. It's pretty amazing and it works for bart and lyme.

I have started taking JK again. I was on it before I was diagnosed...and then after adding antibiotics, I herxed for 12 days straight...so I cut out the JK and CC.
My LLND told me to go back on it, so I have....hoping for some good results.

I am thinking I will add the sida acuta in a few weeks - to attack bart.

Are you also on antibiotics?

Yes, I'm antibiotics.. but I'm slowly adding in the japanese knotweed.. it's been great for my lower back pain as well.. better than aleve lol.. People underestimate the powers of herbs.

That's great to hear, as I'm moving to herbs - including Japanese knotweed - next week. I'm really nervous about it so this is encouraging :-)

That's great! It's suppose to be really good for a variety of things. How much are you taking? Are you on the Buhner protocol? I'm also taking it, but not sure if I should up the dose.

JohnRed33- I looked into JK. Kind of hard to find. What brand do you go with (since its working). Are they pills or liquid?

Buhner says J.Knotweed is good for hand tremors also- I need something for this.

I was taking one pill a day. I just started taking two a day now I'm herxing pretty bad lol. It feels like it's really accessing deep parts of my brain, like if feels like my head is going to explode.. but it's tolerable.. powerful stuff.

- I get the pill form that stephen recommends.. the green dragon brand.

Just looking at my pills and dosage, I see that they are 200mg capsules, and I have been prescribed 6 per day!! Is that normal? I've also got cats claw to take, 6 per day also . . . I'm really a bit worried that this may be too high? :-/

Good news! Yes, when I was still a skeptic on herbs JK is the one that changed my mind. I would add in/then take it out. I did that three times, and everytime I took it out I felt noticeably worse, then I would add it back in and sure enough within a day or so I would feel better.

Since the active ingredient in Japanese Knot wood is resversatrol, does it matter whether or not the resveratrol comes from red grapes or the knot wood plant?

Just to be safe, I would stick to buhner's recommended brand.

I do the Green Dragon Botanical capsules, I am on 2 caps three times daily.
Regarding the dosage: go to the website and I believe he has a max dose for body weight.
Flossie - that sounds reasonable. If you haven't started, start with 1 cap 3 times a day...wait several days, and then go to 2 caps...

Is Japanese knotweed good with neuro issues? Anyone had success with it for those kind of issues? My symptoms are all neurological - dizziness, tingling, numbness, depression, brain fog, etc etc :-(. I'm really hoping this new protocol (cats claw & resveratrol among other things) will help me when I start it next week. I'm really encouraged that johnred & opugirl saw good results with JK tho - that's great news for you :-)

Flossie, I believe JK would be good for those issues, also. It helps the body heal - so if those are lyme/bart symptoms...I think it would definitely do you good.

I was on it before the antibiotics, last spring...and that's when I first started to sleep better, and my anxiety calmed down.
I went on antibiotics after about 4 weeks and my sleep/anxiety improved some more...but maybe it was the JK all along.

Japanese Knotweed gives me a brutal herx.

I guess anything remotely antimicrobial or antibacterial does that to me.
