just got in a box of supplements

It is so easy to get down on yourself when you have Lyme disease. I feel sick everyday and I know I'm not alone, but somedays it is so hard and depressing to fight through the day. BUT.....sometimes little things can trigger a great chain of events.

I just heard the doorbell ring and I grabbed my box of supplements that's I had purchased from Amazon and it completes my treatment protocol for this month. It is very hard to continue to spend 700 a month on treatment between antibiotics herbs and supplements but getting these supplements makes me wanna pulverize this Lyme disease into oblivion.

I am declaring all out war on Lyme disease. Time to kick some butt!!!!

What do you think of this protocol. I am trying tto treat for bartonella babs Lyme and candida.

Opugirl I am super intrigued by your advice. This is GREAT advice. I don't even know where to start with making pills. Are the powders as potent as the tinctures and do they work as well?

Also where do I buy them from. I have plenty of time to save money. I don't have very much money to spend on treatment so every penny counts. I am willing to spend the money though of it means I get better supplements.

Also looking at my supplement list which if those supplements do you think I could take in make my.own pill form?

It's incredibly fulfilling to make your own medicines!!!

I make two tinctures - Avena Satvia (wild oats in the milky stage) and motherwort. The Avena Satvia helps heal my nervous system in different ways and the motherwort helps with female things (as the name implies) but also with depression for me. But be aware that most herbs take at least 3 weeks to tincture (to steep or to brew in a way).

Tinctures are thought to absorb more completely and more quickly, especially if you have any digestive issues, like many of us have. With that said though, my whole Lyme treatment is done as a medicinal tea, then I take other supplements that have to be absorbed in the digestive tract - but I take digestive enzymes and bile salts to help.

Just realize that it takes at least 3 weeks for tinctures, some take longer.

A medicinal tea would work. As I said, I use those herbs (plus others) in my medicinal tea for Lyme. I put the herbs into hot, just boiled water (do not boil the herbs!) and allow them to steep for 20 minutes and then strain, cool and drink. There's no reason why you couldn't do that, or make your own capsules if you choose to go that way.

I use whole herbs that are only cut or broken into smaller pieces. Powders will work differently and should probably be put into capsules instead.

For example, on the site 1st Chinese Herbs for Japanese Knotweed, you will see in the 3rd column over the form that the herb is in - powder, cut, concentrated powder and so on. I always choose the "cut" form. Sometimes it will show as "cut/sifted". Whole herb means you will get the whole root or what ever is being used, so this eliminated one step for me. I still break down the pieces to very small one (1/2" - 1/4") so that it can steep better though.

I use a medicinal tea for my Lyme and I did for my Bart as well, but for Babesia I don't have any suggestions. I looked through my records while I was being treated for Babesia and I was hard pressed to figure out any of what was done!

Something you should know about the Lyme medicinal tea (known as "Chronic Tonic) that I used successfully once and am using again is that I only know of one person that has successfully used it to heal - me. Although a few others have tried it, they responded negatively to some of the herbs or are still using it for the first time. I will be starting a thread on this soon though, for anyone who wishes to know more.

For Bartonella, I used Houttuynia. That was the only thing I used for my Bart infection and I treated it the last 9 months of my 1st Lyme treatment (which lasted 12 months). Many Lyme practitioners are now recognizing Houttuynia's power and are adding it into their protocols. I just made a medicinal tea with 3 grams of Houttuynia and added it to 3 cups of *just boiled* (do not boil the herbs!) water, allowed it to steep for only 10 minutes, strained, cooled and drank 1 cup three times a day. They call it the 'fishy smelling herb' but I didn't notice this at all, and actually thought the medicinal tea tasted a lot like regular black tea when made into iced tea!
