I wasn't going to post this at first because I despise the talking head noise and this guy is famous for hateful speech (like many on both sides of the political theater)… however, I found it interesting that many people commenting on the article are screaming "dude, you have lyme disease—find an LLMD!"

I watched this video and was struck by how sick this man is. I
wondered also if he has been tested for LD. He said he was tested for everything, but maybe not an accurate lyme test. How could we send him a message and tell him about Igenex testing and seeing a LLMD?

Sue - did you mention the Igenex test as he may have tested negative with a different lab.., and not know the difference...Let us know if you get any feedback.. im curious .. it does sound like he cld have lyme disease.

Someone tell him about mold too. His move out of state saved his life. Gee, that screams mold to me as well. He most likely has lyme/mold. Poor guy. Sounds like us

How sad, brought me to tears. So many people are misdiagnosed, i was one of them, until i perused my health problems on my own and found a LLMD! According to Buhners book on co infections, mycoplasma causes many of those symptoms he describing if it goes systemic, i can relate to. I hope he gets the right help.

For the record… I am not a follower but for selfish reasons I am hoping he might be a good ambassador.

I jumped on his Facebook page and posted a couple times. If you skim through the comments there and the comments below the article, many many people are chiming in about lyme. Several have posted that he has previously stated he had been tested for lyme, which came up negative. Many people have also posted questions about what test was used, and urged him to get to an LLMD and tested w/ IGeneX by a reputable lab, etc.

I'm glad people are chiming in to help him. Everyone deserves to be healthy, no matter their political views. I hope he finds a good LLMD.

Wouldn't it be great if he found his way to an LLMD, got tested and revealed the source of his illness (which really does sound like lyme and possibly a mold issue) and got treated, became well, then launched a relentless investigation into the CDC, IDSA, and our world?

Don't you know it, MM. I am on the fence though—is any publicity good publicity at this stage? I'm starting to think the more the talking heads polarize the conversation, the more people become immune to it (I would not have said that 5 yrs ago).

Just the fact that there were so many commenters pointing to lyme is a good thing. On the other hand, it supports the theory that there are far more people suffering from lyme than what is being reported by the CDC.

…sigh…

I'm not his fan at all, but I did send an email through his website. I doubt I'll get a note back. I was struck by some of the comments on the Huffington Post FB article, some medical professionals calling him a hypochondriac, etc. Disgusting. So much for compassionate doctors.

it was interesting… the first 150 comments are so were mostly compassionate—and many many were by non-followers and a few haters, but most stated how awful this must be and wished him well. Then the tides turned. lol vicious. Thanks to the political divide. People can really be idiots. Don't they realize they've all been brainwashed… and that it's all one single engineered argument—over nothing?

I digress… would be great if more and more lymees posted because the general public is watching.

Quite a few more posts about lyme to the article throughout the day… not sure if it's people from this forum but it's a good thing! Surely, he won't read them but everyone else is and are now associating lyme with those ridiculous symptoms and with all the people mentioning it.

thx for posting the aricle. i dont follow him but i wish him to be well and if it does turn out to be lyme and co then i hope he becomes a loud voice for raising awareness

I've known he's had this for years. Ever since he began having problems it was pretty clear what it was from when they couldn't figure out what was causing it. And the fact that he lived in new York and had a house in Connecticut sealed the deal. As for anyone believing this guy is "hateful". Take some time to actually watch his program and listen to him. He has his opinions which I don't always agree with but he is by no means hateful and he is more charitable than most anyone out there. Before I decided to give him a chance I was under the impression he was a nut. But I've learned to develope my own opinions instead of following the herd.

Hi Will—

I don't know Beck well enough to know if he is hateful but he has participated in a lot of hate speech and the polarizing of this country… MANY (most) politicians and leaders in mainstream media have. We are not better for it.

But I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of his extreme outbursts derived from lyme rage. I've been there and done that—very familiar to me. And I am desperate for my old personality to come back.

That said, I couldn't care less what the guy says about anything really, other than LYME (if he can get diagnosed)! And I'm not saying that facetiously—he is a public figure and wouldn't it be great if he could put his influence behind support for lyme & co and advancement in the diagnosis, testing and treatment of these conditions.

I agree with your ideas. I think it would be great if Glenn Beck could use his illness as a tool for teaching others about Lyme. And he would be an ideal spokesman for anything.

Hope he follows through with all the advice on getting a LLMD and testing by Igenex for LD and co's.

btw--isn't it strange that he lived in New York and Connecticut
and no one thought to have him checked out by one of the big LD honchos there? (Isn't LD rampant in NE states)

Agree—sueg I don't think that's a coincidence. One of the commenters on the article mentioned "welcome to NYC, home of lyme" or something like that—I'm not repeating it accurately. But oddly I lived in NYC I sure didn't know anything about lyme (although that was almost 10 yrs ago). And most everyone of my former colleagues I spoke to who still live there really didn't know much about lyme, either. Very strange, indeed.

Hi all,

I'm leaving politics out of this since it's against the rules. From what I read, Glenn Beck is doing well and was treated at Carrick Brain Center in Texas. He said he received a clean bill of health so only time will tell.

Personally, I don't believe everyone who gets sick has lyme disease. There are other illnesses at well. I'm not saying he doesn't (or didn't) have lyme but I am saying it's possible he doesn't have lyme.
