No, it's not for Santa!!!
This list that I'd like to start is about online companies that we find easy to deal with and good for what you order - not over charging your card or sending you the wrong things.

I'd like to keep it strictly to things that we use for treating Lyme basically, although I'm sure there will be a few things that some use but others don't - like herbs, or I have to use a protein powder and I just got scr*wed by a company and would like others to be able to avoid as much frustration as possible.

I'll have to check with Admin about a *do not buy from* list, but I know that we can list the companies that we have had very good results with.

Eventually, I'll edit a post in the New to Lyme thread and put our list in there, so that it's easy to find.

So wadda ya'll think? :-)

Okay, getting serious, I really can't add very much.. I have ordered my herbal shampoo and herbal mouth rinse from www.vitacost.com and never had a problem with them...

Great everyone!! Let's keep them coming!! With all the different things we might use, we need as many options for people as we can get! Companies seem to run out of these things from time to time and I'd really like to have as many options as possible for everyone to search through!

Great idea Traveler thanks! Anybody know a company that has good Cistus Incanus Tea available? My doc's office is out, and they usually have better prices than most internet sites.

He is a member of ILADS and likes to maintain a low profile, but anyone wanting to check out the herbs and supplements he has there and compare prices is welcome to PM me.

Byron White formulas are only available through practitioners and LLMDs but I know mine ships.

I buy most other supplements on amazon—many qualify for Prime (free) shipping:

www.supersup.com - not as low cost for everything as they used to be, but is a good back-up site for when something is out of stock at other websites...

abchomeopathy.com - for those in to homeopathic medicine, this is an excellent place to get a wider range of remedies and potencies than what is typically available in a health food store.

One caution about purchasing supplements on Amazon.com - there is the potential for counterfeit products because 3rd party vendors can sell directly to consumers via Amazon.com. Please be careful and research the seller and products (read reviews!) prior to making purchases.

Always go by the dosages given by either your practitioner or the site (your using Buhner's right?) that you are following.

For example, Buhner says for Japanese Knotweed, to take 1-4 tablets 3-4x daily for 8-12 months from Green Dragon Botanical. In looking the product up on Green Dragon's site (www.greendragonbotanicals.com/ upper right hand corner of the page), I can see that one capsule has 500 mgs.

So 1 tab is what you would start with - that's 500 mgs or .5 (1/2) of a gram if you have a scale that does grams of the whole herb. You can safely raise this amount up to 2,000 mgs (2 grams) in a day.

It will take some math to figure it all out, or if you have the powders, it would be easy to just fill empty gel caps for now! Size 0 gel cap equals about 400 mgs, unless you pack it down, then it equals about 500 mgs.

OMG Trav., regarding Amazon, that's scary.

I've been getting products from them that, supposedly, you can only get with a healthcare practitioner's approval.

I've been getting Metagenic's Folapro from them, and some other things I don't remember.

I've also been getting green clay and red clay. The green clay comes from Italy, and the red clay comes in a Frontier bag.

I also get the Aztec Bentonite clay, but I can't see how that could be counterfeit, seeing as it's in the same container as Aztec usually is, etc. And Zeolite; I also get that.

I only use Amazon Prime (does that help?), but I've noticed that a number of the sellers are third-party.

I don't think I can get the green clay (for example) anywhere else for a good price, but now I'm suspicious, bc the bag doesn't even have any English on it; the writing is all in Italian.

Having said all that, I still stand by iherb (especially) and also Pureformulas. Iherb is as inexpensive, in many cases, as some of the low-cost sellers.

You have to be careful with anything that you buy - online or not. So just check things carefully no matter where you buy them. I've bought a lot of things through Amazon and have had no trouble at all, but I'm careful to check things out.
