Usedtogarden, the blood-brain barrier studies was done by MIT researchers on mice and not on humans. Although, being that it is magnesium based, you should get some benefits from it. It is more expensive than most other type of magnesium.
One that is very good also is magnesium citrate. The least absorbable is magnesium oxide, which unfortunately is what is most popular in chain stores and common vitamin supplements.
