Hi! Thank-you for your answer. I found this one just last night myself. I appreciate your time but it is still to far for me . My husband just won't travel that far. I guess I'm just going to have to stay with my Infectious disease doctor. I'm not counting on getting better. I'm going to try to afford more supplements this payday. Maybe I can get some of the most important ones and use them with what I get from the doctor. Any help with what might be the best to start with. Depending on how much they are I might be able to get 2-4 supplements this coming Tuesday which is payday. I guess I'll just Have to depend on God because I don't have much hope right now.

I'd 2nd Traveler's suggestion of Buhner's protocol so that you will be going after the infection more.

I looked up Buhners protocol and it looks very expensive .It has to be hundreds of dollars. I could never afford it . every bottle of supplements I have looked for is 20 or 30 dollars . we just can't afford it. I tried to read instructions and its really complicated. have a lot of trouble understanding stuff. Nobody here to help. I sleep through meds now when I'm alone and many times can not remember what I have already taken. I would need way to much help with this. I guess this sounds pretty bad but I think I would need a nurse or someone here all day helping me. It takes me forever to just type a message on these forums. My husband tries to make notes for me but I am still always messing up. He gets frustrated with me . Doctor only cost 25 and prescriptions 10 and we are having trouble paying these along with probiotics , Magnesium, Vitamins, Melatonin, 5-htp the doctor has me on now.

Prayers - stay strong. I don't have lyme, my psychotic son does, but I am so beyond depressed trying to care for him,.... I can relate - I also have had my life share of serious illness... many years, many things, just not lyme - oh there's one I've not had!

Or I can email you tomorrow morning - that way you can have some time to read through what I have to say - and your daughter can see it as well & (if she's old enough to understand - I don't know how old she is) help you understand anything that I write.

You can ask several people on this site if I'm trustworthy and the answer will be yes - I know that it sounds like I'm bragging, but I'm only trying to ease some fears you may have.

I will not share any information that you share with me. I am only here to help you find ways to get through this time in your life. I've been affected by these infections for most of my life and have been incredibly sick with it - to the point that I couldn't follow patterns, written or spoken instructions, couldn't remember the names of my own children and more - so just be honest with me about what you can and can't do and we will find things that help you most.

My only motivation is to know that you are feeling better. I promise.

Ginger, really, it's not very expensive at all. Plus, if you do the teas (instead of tinctures), it's actually really inexpensive, bc you can get the teas in bulk.

Is your ID doctor Lyme friendly? If not, he's only going to undermine your illness and self confidence even more. ID doctors are the worst. Just look up Lyme Controversy and IDSA on google.

You don't have to take every single herb he mentions. Just start with the ones at the top of the list for whichever infection or co infection you have. You could probably narrow it down to about five tinctures (or teas).

I don't mean to sound harsh, but I had a therapist once who told me that I had to be very careful with the "yes, but" thing. What that means, is that when you get suggestions, you might consider following through on the suggestion instead of saying, "yes, but ...."

A number of us have been through the most awful, awful things, but we haven't given up. You might find just the treatment you need.

Are there any Lyme support groups in your area? What about trains? Can you take a train or bus to go see this doctor?

I might try to avoid hubby for now. Even my ex bf, who was totally unsupportive, drove me to my first LLMD appointment. He didn't believe in Lyme, but he was willing to give it a chance. Of course, he was a total craphead the whole way, but at least he came to the appointment with me, and listened to the doctor. However, it's true, now that I think about it, that my therapist called him, and told him he needed to go! :)

Don't even try to convince him; just let him believe whatever he wants to believe, and do whatever you have to do to take care of yourself. If you spend a lot of time trying to convince people, it can be a waste of energy. Some might come through eventually.

So that's my suggestion: Just let them be whoever and whatever they want to be, and ignore them if you have to.
