Weird skin sensations/pain

I've been having this strange skin sensation that comes and goes lately. When I touch my skin or rub against it, it's almost painful or sore. Not excruciating, and it's bearable, but definitely semi-new and not normal for me.

Has anybody had this before? Do you know what causes it? Maybe a nerve-related issue?

I get the same symptom where it feels like my skin is sore just underneath my skin or even slightly painful on top. My LLND (who has also had Lyme) said that it's neurological. I don't know about you, but I don't get a rash or see anything happening to my skin when it happens. Like an imaginary sunburn.

For me it comes and goes with herxing. It used to happen a lot more than it does now (9 months into treatment). :-)

I have this also...like my skin is sunburned but its not...definitely related to the nerves...they get signaled before they should.

I used to get it but since I've been in treatment it finally went away so hopefully yours will pass soon also.

I'm just like you guys. It does feel like a slight sunburn. That's a good way of describing it!

And no, I don't see a rash or anything when it happens. And I usually just feel it on my upper arms and my sides/torso.

It's not constant...maybe every few days.

Do you guys think this causes by Lyme itself, or some other co-infection?

I have the same thing, my skin hurts sometimes it is a weird feeling I only had this in connection with high fever before... I have it mostly on my arms and legs and brand new on my head :( Sounds funny when I say my "hair" hurts. It literally hurts ny skin when I touch my hair.... sigh
