The 4 week cycle

So.... how does this work. You feel better for 4 weeks and then worse for 4 weeks?

how long do they grow for? is it another 4 weeks??

Ive always tjought my pattern seemed more like 6-8 weeks which just adds to my self doubt at times.

I've read that the growth cycle averages every 4 wks. but can range from 3-6 wks.

It's because I'd read that and had a feeling of coming down with something every 4 weeks 3 months in a row after a nymph deer tick bite that I sought the help of a LLMD. (my PCP was saying "virus") I was clinically dx'd due to mild Bells Palsy that neither I nor my family had noticed.

Other than that, the only symptom I had when meeting the LLMD was a weird, neurological feeling in one of my toes.

Turns out I am Igenex/CDC positive so I am very grateful to Dr. Singleton (author of "The Lyme Disease Solution") and Dr. Burrascano because it was their writings that motivated me to make that appointment.

Now that I'm on antibiotics, I, too, find that my symptoms flare in the evening. (I developed more symptoms once I started treatment - joy lol)

And, it's during the growth phase when antibiotics can achieve the most...that's why it's reasonable to expect a flare of symptoms every 4 wks. or so.

It happened to me during my first month of treatment with the LLMD....the same feeling like I was coming down with something about 4 wks. after the last time it happened.

I couldn't agree more that having Lyme is a weird experience lol

Before being diagnosed..I could almost time them like clock work...every fourth weekend...would hit me like a ton of bricks in the beginning....if it ever changed...it was at week 2 and week 4....but I could feel them coming on two days prior...and it took me about 2-3 days to come out of them...I would kind of compare them to a neurological seizure....because of how my body feels throughout these....they are exhausting!

Now on antibiotics ..there is no rhyme or reason....weather...anxiety...stress...procedures..migraines....menstrual cycle...full moon...fatigue...over exertion....the wind blows the wrong way.....you name it.....and my body wants to go into flare mode lately....

Lyme is just angry and my body is tired of fighting....hence why I've come here...Finding out quick I'm not alone...AMEN....NOT AMEN that so many people are suffering....because that makes me very sad....but amen that I have finally found a group of people that finally get me

Unfortunately I have not been able to plan anything in several years...have lost pretty much all of my friends and have learned to count my blessings for what I do have and try my hardest to keep a positive outlook...alot of days that gets difficult..but a must..lyme is in total control of your body and you are in total control of your attitude... XO
