Thanks so much summersun and revive - just good to know I'm not alone, although obviously I wish that none of us had it! :-/ thanks for the support. I've also been in treatment for a year now, and would say it has improved some but not gone away. And it's always there. I just wondered if it was a symptom that others have got rid of completely with treatment?
Astroman, my dizziness sounds a little different to yours - it doesn't hit me like that, it is just constantly there . . . maybe dizziness is the wrong word . . . more a tingly, woozy sensation in my head . . . the room doesn't spin or anything. When I move my head, I feel the wooziness, bit like a kind of very slightly drunk feeling? However, I have often wondered about
adrenals. A few years ago, before diagnosis, I definitely had episodes of extreme anxiety, with panic whooshing through me, accompanied by heart palpitations (this happened before I became really ill two years ago). My GP (predictably) dismissed them as nothing, but they didn't feel like nothing when I felt like I was dying in the middle of the night! The attacks went away, but I did seem to have a really exaggerated startle reflex - after I became ill, I remember hating travelling by car, because any tiny, slight hazard would give me such a ridiculous over-reaction in terms of feeling panicked - that physical surge of panic rushing through you. I knew it wasn't normal but no one (docs) has ever mentioned adrenals. Does that sound like an adrenals problem to you? And do you think this might be a cause of light-headedness too? do you have to go to the doc for a saliva test? Or can you get a DIY kit?
Anyone cured the dizziness?
Thanks all for your help
