Was laying in bed the other day and yelped when a needle dug into the outside of my shin. Except when I pulled my leg up, no needle. No puncture. Still, I stripped the bed and searched because it hurt so badly that I was convinced a needle had poked me. Finally, I gave up defeated and bewildered.
Last night, sitting on the couch with fleece pants on, I moved my leg slightly and SAME DARN THING!
What the heck? When I rub my leg I can't even replicate the feeling. Anyone had something like this? Geez.
So, in the last 5 days I've had a viral infection, strep throat, and some new crazy alien symptom. Let's just say I won't be crossing any roads any time soon.....

Your crazy new symptom (feelings of being stuck by a needle) are actually fairly common for those with Neuro Lyme, sorry to say. They can be quit disturbing, as you have discovered - but it's just your nerves. The bacteria damage the outer protective coating of the nerves, so messages that get sent along those nerves get messed up.
I just went through a 3 day period where it honestly felt like I sat on a cactus!! Unfortunately, I know what this feels like, so I was really racking my brain trying to figure out what I had done! LOL! By the end of the first day though, I had realized that it was "just another symptom of Lyme".

Just a pin prick? One of my early neuro lyme sx was more like someone sticking an ice pick into my knee joint.... at 3am.

I know what you mean, Tickbite!! One of my main symptoms lately has been what can only be described as about
3 ice picks in my right knee!
At least my left knee only feels like it has one ice pick!
